like she was also raised by shadow weaver... i get that shes supposed 2 b the Good Guy but cmon. she couldve been more toxic. catra cannot be the only toxic one.

in my mind adora would be the Controlling type of toxic, where she kinda thinks she Owns catra bc shadow weaver constantly made catra adora's responsibility and prolly embedded the idea that catra is an extension of Adora thus... controlling.. plus since adoras like catras only friend = more reliance on adora 👀👀👀👀 catra's codependence on adora would Nourish this nicely...

cuz we see Catra mirror shadow weaver in the series, can we see adora mirror sw by not recognising catra's autonomy since she views catra as her own....? Just putting it out there guys dont jump me.... its toxic for a reason...

this couldve been capitalised on when adora tries to get catra to leave the horde w her at the start because since adora thinks catra is an extension of herself, she thinks catra will willingly follow anywhere she goes and its a bit of a shock when catra has her own agency outside of adora... also she'd want catra all to herself. she gets jealous of scorpia in the graphic novel idc shes possessive in my mind... 👀

mini rant abt catra holding out her hand in the finale/wish:

We actually all have to think about how adora's wishful future ends with catra holding out her hand for adora instead of the other way around

like the whole series adora has repeatedly held her hand out to catra (literally and metaphorically with how she keeps trying to get catra on her side) and her perfect future means no longer having to beckon catra over bcuz catra joins her anyways :')

it also shows how much adora truly wants to be loved and be chosen for Herself instead of being she-ra, specifically by Catra bcuz Catra’s possibly the only person who saw Adora’s individual worth outside of being she-ra. like. Adora wouldn't have to fight for love. It would just be reciprocated.

ALSO bcuz catra is notoriously bad at showing her feelings and love for adora due her insecurities, her openly Asking for adora to join her is just sooooo. Omg. Catra wouldn't be scared to show her love for adora because they'd be That secure in eachother.

Adora wouldn't have to fight for love, and catra would be able to openly love adora; it's literally a microcosm for the climax of the finale where catra finally expresses that she loves adora and adora finds her own strength from that. Because Catra was holding out her hand.

its also interesting how it's that freeze frame in the wish that flickers with horde prime bevause its possibly the most unrealistic part of the wish (to adora at this point imo) and its kinda why catras love confession is so poignant because catra literally does the most impossible part of the wish and its enough to bring adora back.

one reason why i love catradora is bc theyre Meant to be doomed and star-crossed in the way that every single force is trying to pull them apart and yet they still choose eachother - and thats what gives adora the strength to fight for a future She wants instead of an ordained destiny and ultimately saves the universe bc they Chose eachother. like hello.

and when i say every force i mean every force. shadow weaver, light hope telling adora she had to let go, the rebellion and the horde, even their own conflicting loyalties that drive them apart even down to the penultimate episode of s5... And they still choose eachother because they love eachother. theyre literally defying destiny to be with eachother.

she-ra is all about love and how powerful love is and adoras magic coming back from love... ugh a masterpiece actually.

guys i really love the graphic novel

thinking of how much i love and prefer season 5 she ra’s form and there’s a reason for that: it’s more reminiscent of adora herself. ofc i do love she ra’s form throughout season 1-4 bc it’s iconic… but this she ra form is from the power of love and friendship and courage. in season 1-4, adora felt detached from she ra and relied on she ra because she felt like SHE was not good enough and that nobody would want adora for adora. i think when it comes to this she ra form, she is still trying to find herself and she’s struggling because she feels she ra comes from the sword and she needs the sword but she ra comes from within. she’s not she ra because of the sword, she’s she ra because she just is her. she couldn’t find a sense of identity within the horde bc it was all what do they want? what am i supposed to do? she never thought about what she wanted. her first she ra form shows the struggle of identity i feel.

but when it comes to her in season 5, it comes from a moment of stubbornness due to her not wanting to give up because she LOVES her friends. she is just so full of love. her boots resemble glimmer, the heart on her chest is for bow, and her head piece represents catra’s. (considering there’s a moment where she takes it off and eventually loses it, it’s like catra gave her the head piece. she has her hair poof and her ponytail. (necessity btw) she’s more strong than ever.

and i think this is why catra blushed when she saw this form because it was more reminiscent of adora. catra didn’t like she ra at all. she wanted adora, not she ra. she ra was almost like a reminder that adora left her and is just so much more better than her than before. but catra warms up to she ra because she can SEE adora in her. AND JUST TO MENTION, this she ra saved catra and brought her back to life with just the power of love.

i’m sure this has been pointed out before but i’m just thinking abt it…. this is probably worded rlly weird
