My sasi animatics are usually just recaps of episodes but I had an idea that I aggroed on LOL so (ill explain the idea more vvv because im insane)
I don’t think that Logan would ever duck out as a result of the lack of acknowledgement he receives. I don’t think he would ever take HIMSELF out of the picture… but I don’t know… him taking the others out is an interesting idea. tehehehee..
I really liked the idea of Logan cutting all contact between Thomas and the others via restricting everyone to their rooms (even if I don’t really rhink something like this would canonically happen, still an interesting thought). And Virgil wants to help him, or stop him, or do anything about this, but seeing someone you are possibly the closest with being corrupted by someone you’ve distanced yourself from for so long kind of muddles what the right way to go about that would be.
So Thomas can feel himself falling into the steadfast work prioritization. And Remus, well Remus is no stranger to being hidden away from Thomas, so he wont let himself mourn the prematurely fleeting liberation. Roman, not used to being trapped in the confines of his own room, is quickly holed into an unbreakable maladaptive daydreaming state. Janus knows well and good what’s happening, it was inevitable, he just never expected such a direct approach from Logan. And Patton,, we know how Patton gets when stuck in his room too long :///
But with that all out of the way Logan and Thomas can finally start a new day and get working. yaayyy..!

“Here you are, dear,” a glass of champagne was lowered in front of Janus’ face as a kiss was pressed to the crown of his head.
The sofa shifted as his partner sat next to him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders.
“Now… I’ll ask one final time, are you sure you didn’t want to join the others?”
Janus scoffed and turned to Logan. “Be shoulder-to-shoulder with the twins screeching over each other while tens of thousands of drunk tourists stumble around Times Square for the mere possibility of a glimpse at some C-List singer? Absolutely not.”
Logan smiled as he turned back to the TV. Ryan Seacrest was just introducing yet another musical performance while Lucy Hale interviewed another tourist wanting to experience New Years’ Eve in New York. How pathetic.
“Oh good, there they are now.” Logan chuckled to himself, pointing toward the screen, and there they were: Patton smiling excitedly and waving at the camera, the twins trying to push each other into the barricades for more room, and Virgil, covering his ears and glaring at the others.
“What fools our friends are,” Janus smiled and shook his head.
“We’ll have a better view of the fireworks from here. They won’t even see the ball drop from their angle.”
“I’ll never understand the appeal.”
Silence washed over them as the next performance started, the couple occasionally sharing an annoyed look or an eye roll.
“Why are we even watching this?”
“I promised Patton we’d look for them.”
“Well, we saw them, can we turn it off now?”
“Just tune it out,” Logan sat up, turning to face his boyfriend fully. “Have you made any resolutions?”
Janus’ face twisted in confusion. “Lord, my darling, don’t you know me at all?”
“I don’t hear an answer.”
“Of course I haven’t, don’t be ridiculous. No one follows them for longer than a month anyway.”
“Well… I have one.” A small blush formed across Logan’s cheeks as he glanced at his lap.
Janus raised an eyebrow, playfully pretending to chug his beverage as he turned to Logan. “Alright, nerd. Care to share?”
Logan placed his glass down on the coffee table, slow to look back up at him. “I plan to get promoted at work, firstly.”
“A good plan. Though you probably have little control over that, unfortunately.” Janus smirked, taking a sip. “And secondly?”
Logan sheepishly looked down again, his voice going a bit quiet. “I’d like to use my first bonus… to buy a ring.”
Janus froze, nearly choking on the bubbly drink washing down his throat as he listened. “A-a ring? What kind, may I ask?”
“Engagement, of course.”
“I mean… I certainly hope it’s for me. Unless you’ve been seeing someone else. In which case, get out of here.”
“Well, this is my apartment, seeing as my name is on the lease. So you’d have to leave.” A small smile pulled at his lips. “And who else would it be for?”
“Well, I’m glad. In that case… I’ll only accept the most beautiful, enormous ring. I want it to weigh my hand down.”
“Of course,” Logan leaned in closer. “Only the best for you, dearest.”
“Ugh, you sap,” Janus smiled and closed the distance between them both, their lips pulled together, almost magnetically.
After a moment, Logan pulled away and smiled, picking his glass up again and tilting it toward Janus. “To you, my love.”
“Indeed, to me,” Janus smirked and clinked his glass, earning an eye roll from Logan.
Logan stood up, holding his hand out for Janus. “It’s almost time, love. Care to join me?”
Janus grabbed his hand, kissing it gently before standing and following him over to the window leading out to their small balcony.
Logan helped him through the window, holding his hand and guiding him out - it was hard to deny his jaw dropped when he saw the balcony.
String lights were wrapped around the fire escape and every possible inch of railing, lighting up the normally sad, boring balcony; their pride flag danced gently in the crisp, late December breeze as Janus took in the view of New York City on New Years’ Eve. The bright lights of Times Square created a magnificent golden aura in the air, even blocks away (though, that’s also a terrible amount of light pollution, but he’ll let it go for one night). Logan had even taken the time to wrap lights around Janus’ plants.
He turned to his boyfriend with a cocked brow. “So… you’ve been busy. When’d you do all this?”
“You were out shopping for two hours, I had to work fast.” Logan smiled softly and put an arm around Janus’ shoulders. “Do you like it?”
“It’s beautiful, Logan.” He pressed a quick kiss to Logan’s cheek and leaned over the railing, taking in the sights of the city.
“So… really no resolutions?” Logan asked.
Janus thought for a moment before looking back at him. “Well… I suppose if there’s a handsome man looking to buy me a ring, my goal is to say yes when he asks me to marry him.”
Logan smirked and lifted his glass to his lips to take another sip. “Well, that hardly sounds like a difficult goal to accomplish.”
“You’d think so, but this handsome, intelligent, wonderful man is also incredibly stubborn. It’ll definitely take some thought and effort to say yes.” Janus smiled.
Logan shot his boyfriend a look, but shook his head affectionately and leaned over the railing next to him. “Well… I hope after your long period of careful thought and consideration, you’ll decide to say yes.”
“That’s what I’m leaning toward. The benefits far outweigh the drawbacks. He’s a pretty spectacular man, all things considered.”
“I’m flattered. And looking forward to hearing your final decision.”
They stayed there for a couple minutes, enjoying each other’s company and huddling together to keep warm in the cold.
From inside, they could suddenly hear the crowd on TV counting down as Logan intertwined his fingers with Janus’.
“Ten.” Logan smiled.
“Nine.”
“Eight.”
“Seven.”
“Six,” Logan started leaning in closer.
“Five.”
“Four.”
“Three.”
“Two.”
“One.”
They heard a loud roar of cheering in the distance as fireworks were set off over the Manhattan skyline.
“Happy new year, Janus.” He clinked their glasses together, and leaned in closer.
“Happy new year, Logan.” Janus smiled as he pressed his lips to Logan’s, a beautiful blue and gold firework lighting up the sky.
& that 1% regret rate is almost entirely “Yes I’m still trans but the surgery was bad, or the transphobia i encounter is so much worse than anticipated, or I was pushed towards a specific treatment by my binary-oriented doctor when I wanted a non-binary transition” etc.
Actual ‘whoops, I don’t identify as trans anymore” cases are closer to 0,02%.
