So this particular reposter has counter claimed, which forces an artist into a messy legal situation where they have to prove to YouTube they are the actual content creators, and potentially attend court in the U.S. 

The artist they have countered is our friend @ferisae, They have threatened to sue (an empty threat), they’ve also dared to re-upload the reported videos.

They claim it’s under ‘fair use’ but this is not how fair use works.

At this point she has sent an email to YouTube with proof of her claim and rights.

I was in a situation like this earlier in the year. You guys helped me out by reporting your content on the offender’s channel.  Please extend your kindness to Feri.

This individual has dared to threaten me with suing me OVER MY OWN WORK, claiming he owns the rights to the images because he got them “from youtube library” and that if I don’t take back the claim, he will continue to “complain to Youtube until he sues me and takes me to federal law”. He also cited the Fair Use Act to back himself even though his video didn’t fall under any of the clauses. While part of me feels this is a scare tactic (and that maybe he is not from USA even), I want his channel removed. He has not only stolen from me, but from many of my friends, too. Please help me by reporting the videos if you find he has used your work. If Youtube receives complaints from DIFFERENT CREATORS they may get that this person has no ground to stand on and has been sending empty threats. Please help out by reporting if you find your stuff!
