Hi, I'm Katy, but you can also call me KitKat or Kat. I am currently a college student majoring in Studio Arts. My dream job is to be a character designer or a comic inker. I mostly draw pretty girls and monstrous men. I'm also a hobbyist writer, mostly doing vignettes and character/world-building notes. I run a mostly art blog, but I may post some of my writing and reblog-related posts.

My (current) projects.
Demon of Brambleberry Lane (DoBL) is a Victorian-era, horror, slasher.
After the mysterious murder of the Price family, the only survivor, Edna Price, goes missing. Three years later, she resurfaces as a masked killer out for revenge. The only person who stands in her way is the deputy police chief, James Cooper, her ex-fiancé.
Crime Family (CF) is a Mob-themed family drama.
Born into the infamous Kvell Mob family, Levi Liebling strikes a deal with his father to escape. However, five years later, Levi is dragged back into the mob by his mother after the murder of his father. Tensions are high as he reconnects with his family, deals with the complex feelings he has for his father, and prepares to take over The Kevell Mob.
I have a side blog for a Legend of Zelda OOT/MM next-gen AU, that I sporadically update.
Feel free to send askes about my art or OCs. I was originally inspired by the trend of ask blogs to start a Tumbler. I'd love to receive asks to talk about the silly stories and characters in my head.

A full-body flat colored image of a new OC, Marcel Alarie.
He is the leader of a French mob called Les Spectre (Marcel is Afro-french) under the alias The Phantom. His gang is a rival to the Kvell Mob. He's calm, collected, and intimidating when he wants to be.
I used this image from the theposearchives as a pose reference.
Delete some works from my DA gallery and privited them on this blog, featuring designs that may have been poorly executed or insensitive, trying to design diverse characters as a teen to young adult, I accidentally played into racial stereotypes (such as Atsu) or just poorly executed due to a lack of knowledge.
I didn't remove everything, just the stuff that could be outwardly offensive. Stuff for Vampire Detective, Guardian Angel, and Mages and Robots had some unfortunate character designs. If/when I ever return to these stories, I'll be redesigning the problematic characters to be more respectful (or scraping them all together).
I don't normally make big posts about how I've changed as a person, since the idea sounds promotive. I would rather just show I've changed through my actions. But I wanted to make a statement about it to clear things up. My diverse characters now aren't perfect, but I believe I have improved, and I will continue to improve.
I posted a drawing of one of my plusized characters on DA, and I got tons of fat fetish accounts flocking to it. It made me really uncomfortable. I don't get many interactions on posts, so when I do, I like to go to their pages. When I draw pusized bodies, it's meant to be body positivity art, not a fetish thing. If you find them hot, that's fine, just don't fave (or reblog) them to your fetish gallery/blog.
It reminded me of when I was around 16 and drew one of my OC's mom pregnant, and it got attention from a lot of fetish accounts.
Or the time that someone with a fetish-like interest in mugshots peasterd me to make my Barbie meme drawing a downloadable. (Cuse the guy doesn't know how to right check, save image as ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
A design concept for my OC Elio. He's the youngest of three brothers from a mafia family. I ended up going to him a sun-theam, with a sun tattoo on his collar bone and a yellow and blue color palette. He dresses more casually compared to the other characters because he's a drug dealer who works on street leave crimes. So, I didn't want him to look too flashy.
A vampire AU of my OC, Aaron. Frilly white shirts remind me of vampires and fit Aaron's fashion style. So, I merged them together into an AU. The wings are a part of his pants, NOT his body.
A fun way I use to work on OCs' body types is to draw them as a pin-up girl. I wanted to make Saddie's body type to be chubby in some areas and thinner in others. At first, I was going to make her skinny, but it made her head feel out of place. So, I tried adding more fat to her body to match the sagging fat of her face.
I experimented with digital collaging. This image was used for the letters, and this image for the star.
Bonus doodle for her husband, Aberham, reacting to her.
Back in April, I designed an Easter/bunny outfit for Philip. I wanted to draw him in that outfit again and give the design a more finished illustration.
A portrait working on the facial features and hairstyle of my OC, Saddie. She's the mother of my OCs, Asher and Aaron, and the grandma of Esther and Levi.
At first, she was going to be a character killed off in the backstory. But I liked her design so much that I decided to scrap that idea and have her be alive.
