Call us Gaivota as a whole, and this blog is quite dear to me.

Felicette is a wandering black lantern from an universe that was reaching its death, from the natural course of life. She was engaged to Blue Lantern, the last hope of her universe. He's dead now, but her love remains.

This character does not follow the DC universe mostly because it's part of a personal project, most of the lore was done quite some time ago before i got more into comics.

Yes, she is named after the cat Felicette. Feli and her husband are based on me and my only one <3

Because it’s been calling to me since I was a kid, and I certainly haven’t misheard it. It tells me to do things, and I do. That’s the reason I’ve been allowed a chance of sentience in my undead state.

It had been too long since Felicette held onto his ring. The blue lantern ma'reesco, her husband, was one of the most admirable beings she'd ever met. Kind, funny and so deeply important to her. He was gone; by her hands no less.

His ring never floated away, never found another person worthy because there were no more living beings in the universe after he died. Hope dies last, after all.

She'd been learning about death rituals in this universe, on earth specifically. Burial, memorials, all that she never got the chance to give someone. Her ring hummed with an oppressive force as she had gone to gather supplies for a memorial at her ship; their ship.

" Rest in peace, blue spot. ", she said to the little memorial, shells, algae and other things that reminder her or the fish-like alien.

The Black Lantern stayed kneeling on the dead ship, half destroyed and without oxygen at all. She didn't need it.

When John came upon the scene of the ruined ship, he watched for a minute, trying to figure out what was going on. He was seeing grief, he though. So he flies down a little lower, close enough to get a better visual on the woman. Perhaps she needs help.

So he decides to introduce himself.

"Hello, I am John Stewart of Earth, Green Lantern of Sector 2814. Can I assist you?"

The corpse cracked her neck, stiff and no longer aching, to another of the green lanterns she met in her journey. '' You cannot bring my love back. So, no. You can't. '', came the dragged reply from Felicette. Low, no change of tone besides a linging sorrow arouund the topic. " The other, Gardner, made much more of a fuss around this. "

" You are of earth too. You recognize these rituals, yes? A shrine. I am mourning someone. '', the black latern stated, informing a little of what was obvious. " I hope you never feel a hole in the chest like mine. But, i suppose you already do. Will. How can you keep this up? "
