Vultures are holy creatures.
Tending the dead.
Bowing low.
Bared head.
Whispers to cold flesh,
“Your old name is not your king.
I rename you ‘Everything.’”
fun fact!
Vultures are also responsible for keeping diseases at bay.
Vulture stomach acid is so powerful that it can kill anthrax and many other deadly diseases.
So when they consume the carcass of a creature that has died of disease, they actually destroy the disease within it too!
So yes vultures are 100% holy creatures because they not only eat the dead, but protect the living from death.

is this the ORIGINAL?!???
Age-old advice which is more relevant nowadays rather than less. This is the second iteration of it though. The original version is: “Never write anything in a letter you wouldn’t want to see in print.” Advice handed down by my mother from her forbears.
From the IT department. We archive EVERYTHING. And Outlook autosaves every couple seconds.
“Dance like no one is watching. Email and text like it will one day be read in court.”
This seems like something everyone should know if they’re in the sciences and/or interested in reading scientific papers.
Be careful, it’s slippery out there!

My most popular photo of 2022 was something I almost didn’t post. Technically, from a photographer’s standpoint, it is not as good a photo of a bird as I usually post. But I have learned that my followers would rather see a photo of one of my common birds doing something birdy than a perfectly posed picture of a rare warbler.

Dear Rusty Quill. Listen. I've been at this for just under two years (22 months to be exact) and I've not even finished four seasons' worth of hoops. I can't do another whole show. Mercy. I'm only human. But these have raised 10k dollars to charity, so that's awesome at least.

Rating 10 podcasts I’ve listened to
Welcome to Night Vale | 9,5/10
- Absolutely harious and characters are really likeable
- Over the course of 10 years the quality went down *slightly*
The Two Princes | 6/10
- Season 1 is amazing :)
- Season 2 and 3 are meh ;(
The Magnus Archives | 10/10
- Top tier worldbuilding and storytelling
Malevolent | 10/10
- Excellent, how did one person make this. Just how.
Midnight Burger | 10/10
- It’s SO funny and the characters are lovely, so underrated
Hello from the Hallowoods | 10/10
- It has so many good characters and plotpoints that aren’t even hard to follow
Wolf 359 | 9/10
- Very good story, plus I love the characters and their relationships
- The first episodes feel kinda messy
The Penumbra Podcast | 11/10
- *sobs* This is so beautiful
Old Gods of Appalachia | 9/10
- The stories and the characters are nice, I mostly just like the worldbuilding
- Some characters are narrated by the same guy and some have actual voice actors which is pretty weird
Hi Nay | 8/10
- I love the character dynamics and the ideas are really good
- The executions of the ideas often fall flat ;(
- Some of the voice acting is… questionable
- The podcast starts by being told in a form of phone calls, but then it becomes messy and jumps from phone calls, people forgetting to turn off their phones, tape recordings and regular recordings and I think dreams too
- But don’t regret comitting voter fraud to listen to it
Do you have some fun facts about frogs? Cursed or wholesome, I'm not picky!
have you ever wondered; why the desert rain frog has the ass of a small human man?
it's because desert rain frogs are burrowers! they spend most of their time buried in the ground to keep cool and moist in their unenviable desert home. and crucially, they do this BACKWARDS.
so, the secret to a great ass, from a tiny frog: bury yourself in the sand all the time ass-first, and you too will develop glutes of steel.
and then you can make this face all the time forever.
