K like to the veterans of the Pretty cure series- Do the whole endings feel like their speed running?😭😭 I love Smile but man… those last episodes feel like a lore dump/Speeding the finale ykyk especially episode 47(?) When the Bad End Precure was like introduced, they only appeared in that episode 😭 so was curious

There is very little Joker angst on the internet, and on the occasion that I do find angst it’s always “b-b-b-b-b-but he doesn’t actually want to be evil!!!! He’s being forced to by Pierrot!!!! He’s actually really nice!!!!” Or “He has a super sad backstory that totally excuses him from his actions!!!”

Y’all are not taking enough advantage of the fact that this man’s entire existence surrounds the goals of the Bad End Kingdom and serving Pierrot. Like in the event that he survived after Pierrot was defeated by the cures, what would he do? He lost everything that made him the person he was, so now he’s just an empty shell, doomed to wander around without purpose. Or maybe he tries to continue being evil, but he’s defeated every time, leading to an endless loop of failure. Then, what would be the point of trying anymore?

I hope that makes sense dhshhsshsjsjdhdisj

(Alternatively, a sad backstory could work too, but that’s a another post I may or may not make :p)

Twas stoked to see your list; Glitter Force was one of my first animes, and so I still hold Smile Precure to a high regard in my mind. Joker truly is a fascinating character :3

As for small details in the drawing itself, there's really only the playing cards being representative of the Doki Doki cast. In my mind, Joker has just zapped them into some cards (I'm pretty sure he did that in Smile anyways, yeah?)
