The Chainsaw Man movie was so good I was inspired to touch up this old Angel Devil print đŒđ
I work as a programmer for $35 an hour.
They once forgot to pay me for 8 extra hours that they needed me to work on Thanksgiving weekend. They simply needed me to be present for 8 hours in order to quickly fix any problems that happened during their busiest weekend, and no such problems ended up happening.
When they saw the mistake and paid me for it, the gross pay for that day was $420 (base of $35 x 8 hours x 1.5 for overtime).
The first thing I noticed was how that compared to what I got paid at my warehouse job before I became a programmer. When I started the job at the warehouse, I got paid $10 an hour. For a full time week, I got paid $400.
I got paid more for that one day of doing practically nothing as a programmer than I did busting my ass at the warehouse for a whole week.
So enough about this "I work harder than them so I deserve more pay" bullshit. You're all the working class. In our fucked up system, hard work does not equal more pay. If you want more pay, you need to fight back against the rich assholes who profit off your labor and pay you jack shit, not fight with other people who are underpaid about who deserves to be more underpaid.
UhhhhâŠ? Some weird cat thing pulled up to my islandâŠ

day 406 . Is not late
Two times, Luo Binghe?
Can I justâŠ.. scream about this animator for a HOT MINUTE what I LOVE about this animator is the smallest little details.
The differences in colors, facial features that like you can watch it a 100xs but see something different.
What got my little rant going was when Bingmei passes Bingge and he trips. It is the smallest little movement a blink if you miss it- but it is the most human someone could move. It makes it feel unintentional. It makes it feel like a mistake. Like he was a person- not lines and a deliberate action on the animator.
I was so endeared and it made the stark difference of Bingge who when he was in frame always seemed like you couldnât tell how washed out and color less he was bc the rest of the frame didnât draw your eye to him- you focused on the world around him- until Bingmei comes in- trips and you are suddenly locked in aware Bingge who was small deliberate movements- was now the only still, black and white thing on screen.
It is so small but it makes my brain EXPLODE with gittery glee and euphoria I get when I watch animations I love.
This animator just feels like they never miss- *dragged off stage*
ćźæ - èŁ€ć - èŁ, èąŽ (1/2) Song Dynasty - Pants (1/2)
Pants were a popular garment to wear during the Song Dynasty, both as inner and outer wear for men and women. From artefacts currently discovered, there were 3 main types of pants:
1) Inner pants (close-crotched) (èŁ (èŻ»éČČ))
worn against the body
2 styles found: a) Half-pants (ç錻èŁ/Dubikun) b) Full pants
can be worn by men and women
2) Outer pants (mostly open-crotched)ïŒèąŽ (èŻ»ćș)ïŒ
worn layered over the inner pants
open-crotched version did not expose private area due to large amount of fabric and the way it draped around the hips
can be multi-layered for colder weather
can be worn by men and women
some even have foot straps (ćæŠèŁ€/Diaodunku)
Demo of how to wear open-crotch pants (1st part of video):

Song Dynasty - Pants (2/2)
3) Decorative outer pants ïŒèŁ (èŻ»ćœ))
first appearance around late Northern Song
large slits along the outside (from waist to bottom of pant leg)
very loose and flowy, allowing the pant legs to open while walking to reveal the pants worn underneath
worn as a decorative piece
so far no male version of this has been unearthed
hello! I saw your post about the layers of hanfu, the one with the pants that tie around the waist. I really want to try to make them, but I can't seem to find a pattern. Is there a term for that article of clothing that I can use to search? Or better yet, do you have any pattern recommendations?
I was recently introduced to hanfu through a c-drama, and I'm really curious about it, so I'm glad I found your blog!
AHHH!! My first inbox message!! I'm so happy đđ
The name for that style of pants is (unfortunately) just "pants" (èŁ€/ku in Chinese, which literally translates to pants).
I searched around for patterns and pieced one together (luckily it doesn't seem too complicated :D). You'll have to play around with the measurements so they fit you best, these were based on a video of someone who made this for a client (I'll link the video as a source but it's all in Chinese).
Here's some screenshots of videos demo-ing it (also linked in sources). The most important take-away I got is to make sure the width of the pant legs is enough to wrap ALL the way around your body and overlap in the back so your butt doesn't show xD
The earliest artefacts for this style of pants is the Han Dynasty (202 BC-9 AD, 25â220 AD), but it was also discovered in tombs of the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD), which had more samples and were better preserved (I heard in one Song tomb they found 24 pairs of pants, 15 of which were this style O.O). So all of these were made using the Song Dynasty version, but they look basically the same and were also worn as under garments.

So, as you know, or don't, an employee got fired from Starbucks and they posted all the recipes online =)
part 1
part 2/2
Hey, as a current sbux barista, the drink recipes aren't a secret. I can understand if no one knew where to look however! The recipes themselves are on the starbucks app and people are able to customize the drink as much as they want. You can also find how to make them online. The starbucks subreddit has a big training guide for new baristas to learn the drinks and it goes over the amount of pumps in each size and all that.
The "secret" to starbucks drinks is in their own branding of syrups, sauces, and toppings. Hell, you can make the frappuccinos at home fairly easily and the only "secret" stuff is the frappuccino base, which is a simple sugar syrup with xanthan gum for thickening. The frappuccino coffee mixture is basically an instant coffee mix.
It's good to have all of this in one post as a reference! The cold foam is probably not on the app specifically, and I can understand wanting to make that at home. But for normal recipes, the app has it all. Here's for hot chocolate.
This isn't any kind of ad for it, but rather if you want to know what's in any drink this is how! There are copycat recipes for the sauces, and espresso machines can be fairly cheap. The standard syrups you find in the store should be a good sub for the syrups in store.
For standard Vanilla Sweet Cream for cold foam (we make it in a 2L pitcher):
1 L Heavy Cream
350 mL Vanilla Syrup
650 mL 2% Milk
To make it into a cold foam, add 2 pumps of whatever syrup you would like (for salted caramel foam it's 2 pumps caramel syrup, 2 packets of salt like thise you get at sit down restaurants), and 100 mL of vanilla sweet cream to a blender and blend on low for about 15 seconds (if you have a blender with a disc blade, that works best for this) until it thickens. A mixer would also work well, mix until soft peaks form.
The chocolate foam has 2 scoops (size of teaspoons) of chocolate malt powder.
Vanilla sweet cream foam is just the sweet cream mixture above foamed up.
Cinnamon cold foam has cinnamon dolce syrup.
Matcha foam is 2 tsp scoops of matcha.
Pumpkin foam is made with pumpkin sauce.
Anyway if ppl are interested I can share more recipes. The main ones aren't a secret, but things like the cold foam possibly are. I can't tell you about the mocha because it comes in a bag of powder and I don't know the recipe. We just add water and mix. It smells like brownie mix tho.
The Patroness by @stiltonbasket is a Svsss fan fiction i am enjoying so much. This is how I was imagining the Portrait that was made for Binghe in Chapter 4. Shen Yuans pure motherly energy is so wonderful. I would have fallen in love too straight away Binghe.
Watchout, itâs the Shen brothers!

- Persephone by Tamino
.
Here to deliver on the Blackice Hades/Persephone AU. Itâs not exactly greek mythos, though - here, Pitch is considered a âgodâ alongside North and the other Guardians, a cosmic lord of creation and existence. His domain includes all that is typically related to the âunknown,â such as darkness, fear, and death. Jack is a cosmic being himself - a prince of the constellations, and their most prized one at that. After Pitch steals Jack away for himself, the constellations and other gods must strike a bargain with him, splitting Jackâs time between the starry skies and Pitchâs dark domain. Jack, however, begins to find a fondness for Pitch, despite the other stars warning him against it.
