there could absolutely not have been a better way to watch the finale than it leaking two days early in unwatchable quality and trying desperately to avoid spoilers but clearly seeing that everyone on tumblr HATES it...

...only to finally sit down to watch it (in proper quality) and it being fucking INCREDIBLE, and UNHINGED, and EMOTIONAL, scored so brilliantly i CRIED, and basically everything i ever want from this show times a million.

thank you to everyone involved in creating this series, thank you to these brilliant actors, and thank you to the haters -- i don't understand your hate, but seeing your reactions inadvertently made this watching experience utterly sublime. 💃🏾

Everyone keeps going “the Seance is the first time we’re really meeting Claudia. Not Louis’ version of her.”

NO! This is Lestat’s version of her! That’s the point! The cast talked extensively about this. Memory is a monster and Claudia is dead! We will never meet Claudia. She is always filtered through the recollection of another. That’s what death is! That is the tragedy of Claudia! She will never get to tell her own story outside the context of those diaries. Those diaries are the closet we ever get and we the audience are still only getting those as fragments filtered through the journalistic view of Mr. Daniel Molloy.

put yourself in the shoes of daniel's daughters. your shitty dad that you hate has just committed career suicide, going from winning two pulitzer prizes to publishing interview with the vampire as a work of nonfiction. thats bad enough. but now, from your point of view, hes larping as a vampire alongside a bunch of other guys who are themselves larping as the vampires FROM THE BOOK. and now hes posting videos with one of them with incestuous revenge porn. i think id mail him a bomb.
