EYECANDY'S ORDER (warning, photo heavy!)
***THIS IS NOT A SPONSERED REVIEW***
On the 25th of March at around 4 in the afternoon, I placed an order with EyeCandy’s!
EyeCandys sells a number of different circle lenses from reputable brands as well as a lot of East Asian cosmetics.
(I didn’t get any circle lenses despite that being their primary thing, because tbh I’m kinda scared hehe)
I bought:
A creamy eyeliner pencil in the colour “Wow Pink” from 3ConceptEyes
Lovely Cookie Blusher from Etude House in the colour “Strawberry Choux”
Etude House’s “All Shockara” Mascara
Periperas Peri’s Tint Jelly Stick in the colour “Sky Stick”
These four items together were 53.93 USD, but by subscribing to their emailing list I got a 10% off coupon, bringing the total to 48.53.
It was a little pricey for someone who’s used to buying her makeup at Wal-Mart, but I wanted some cute makeup so badly (and had just got a 50 dollar visa giftcard from my uncle) I simply couldn’t resist!
My order was shipped on the 31st of March, six days after I had ordered, and arrived today on April 17th.
My package was a thick envelope lined with plastic and bubblewrap, and so sturdy that I couldn’t get it open with my well-manicured claws alone, having to hack it open with scissors instead.
Here’s all my stuff in the bag after I had opened it!
Now onto the product review!
First up, mascara!
The packaging for this mascara was shiny and cute, and reminded me a little bit of a magician’s wand for some reason. Chalk it up to being absolutely childish v u v;;;
Why don’t they package stuff like this in America? (please excuse the clutter, the kitchen table was the only place I could get decent lighting!)
At first I was a little worried that the wand would be too small, because I’m used to absolutely giant poofy mascara wands that look like an ancient spiked weapon or possibly one of those rainbow pens from Claire’s. But after trying it, it was absolutely perfect! I can get into the inner corner of my eyes without getting big black splotches everywhere. The mascara is nice and black, almost as black as the furthest reaches of my soul. Which is just how I like it.
Mascara- 5/5
My blush was packaged in a large wad of bubblewrap to keep the cake from breaking, and it did a wonderful job! I also now have a means to annoy the entirety of my family for the next twenty minutes, so hey, double win.
The blush released from its bubbly plastic prison.
Powder puff!!! I may not use it much since I have a lovely blush brush, but it’s seriously the cutest thing ever.
The blush cake itself had a plastic disk over it, which was less of a secondary safety seal and more of a dust shield. I shall use it to blind my family members from halfway across a room.
The actual blush is a lovely subtle, almost dusty pink, and perfect for everyday use. My only issue is that it may be a bit too subtle.
BLUSH- 4/5
Next, the lipgloss!
This is just the cutest little box. I love the girl drawn on it. She reminds me a bit of my girlfriend only with longer hair and heavier makeup.
Here’s the lipstick tube! There’s the girl again, and the words “peri’s tint” are running around the tube. Super cute.
There’s a special place in my heart for colour-changey lipsticky things. If only they did it in reverse, You know, one that looked a perfectly innocuous pink and turned out to be an obnoxious electric blue, I’d like that.
It goes on really sheer and sparkly, which is lovely, but I really wish there would be more colour.
CHANGING LIP GLOSS- 4/5
Finally, the eyeliner! I saw Venus Angelic use this in one of her videos and I thought to myself, “Regina, this is just what you need.” Bright pink like the blood of a Lisa Frank illustration.
The packaging reminds me a lot more of Western makeup.
Ta da! It’s nice that it comes with a sharpener. Because I break eyeliner pencils like nobody’s business.
Here, you can see the colour better in this one.
EYELINER- 5/5
Skin Swatch! The very faint/barely visible smear of pink is the blush. The light sparkly smear is the lip gloss. The very vivid patch is the eyeliner. Please forgive my freckles v u v;;
I was also sent a couple of free samples of Etude House BB Cream! I haven’t tried it yet though.
Selfie time! My whole look today is what I bought from EyeCandy’s, except for some white eyeliner.
Overall, I’m very happy with my order! I’ll definitely order from them again!
