I screamed when I found this out
Hello :) so I tried to find celloblrs and you're one of the few still active here. Anyway, I decided to ask 'cause maybe you won't know (your bio says you've been playing for four years, I've been playing for three) but some of your followers will? The thing is: I've seen plenty of string cases with hygrometers, and on the website where I bought my case there are also humidifiers and hygrometers to buy. The question is: why? No one ever bothered to explain that to me but maybe I should have one?
Hi cello buddy! I can't say much about what it's like to have one in your case because i don't have one lmao. BUT i do know that humidity can definitely effect the instrument and how it sounds. The wood of string instruments is kinda like a sponge lol. If it is very humid, the wood will absorb some of that moisture and expand. If it isn't very humid, it will release that moisture and shrink. Of course you won't really see the changes because it's not drastic, but it's always good to have something to detect humidity just so you can know the environment your instrument is in.
Soooo yeah! I hope I helped!
I'm currently sitting in my bed eating offbrand goldfish instead of practicing. Someone please motivate me.
This is kinda different from any of my other posts. It's come to my attention that people think im intentionally leaving out watermarks from Instagram memes I find. I just want to put it out there that I always leave watermarks. The few memes I have posted without them never had one to begin with. For example, there was no watermark in this one. I understand that I could've put their instagrams in the post, but I'm not a professional and I didn't think of that. Sorry if I may have offended anyone in posting certain pictures without watermarks, but like I said, there wasn't one to begin with. Sorry.
everyone's talking about forbidden snacks but forgetting the original forbidden snack: rosin
Indeed...it is important that we remember the original cronchy rosin...i declare today forbidden rosin remembrance day
we do be not practicing doe 🤘😌🤘
hi i play the upright bass and i was wondering if u have any tips as a cellist? my friend is alao a cellist but she just started this yesr (as have i)
Omg hi! I'm so sorry it took me forever to answer this! I don't really have the best insight for playing the bass since I dont have much experience playing it. The best i can say is keep practicing if its something you're really passionate about! If there's anything specific you wanna ask me about certain tips, feel free to message me :)
yummy :))
Why did you start 'cello, and how long have you been playing?
Hi! Sorry it's taken me so long to answer this! I haven't been on Tumblr much these past few days because of school. Initially i started because it was required to take a music class in middle school. I just kinda fell in love with it and I've been playing ever since. (It's been almost 5 years lmao)
hey, I play cello too! what do you like most about your instrument ( and what do you hate? )
Ayyy sorry it took me forever to answer this lmao. I mostly enjoy the sound quality, ya know? Like there's something about the tone of a cello that the violin, viola, and bass don't have. The only thing i don't like about it is carrying it everywhere 😂
So I've come to the conclusion that i barely know you guys, which is duMB. Please message me if you wanna be friends! We can talk about orchestra, school, or whatever you want to. I need more friends lmao. :) or we can make a cool group Chat
It be like this every time I go into the band room
me february 14th
(I originally found this on insta lmao)
me after getting yelled at by my teacher about how bad I am at scales
Hello people of the orcheatra/band meme community. I'm kinda going through a delima and was wondering if you all could help. I've been playing the cello for almost 5 years now and my passion for it is just continually fading which kinda sucks :( my mom blames it on my last orchestra teacher but idk. We have a new teacher at my school, so I'm hoping I'll get back into things soon. I just wanna know how you guys keep yourselves motivated to play.
Thanks
I did an oopsie and skipped my senior clinic audition 😎✌
