Today I've had my first violin lesson of 2019

I was a little worried 'cause I felt like I hadn't had time to study much over the winter holidays, but it has beenva good day. We've worked on some Dont studies (I'm stuck with these for all the year), Gaviniés and I've started working on Wienawski's op. 10.

Also I've read the first movement of Mozart's violin concerto in A major. For now without cadenza, but I plan on studying it too.

Tomorrow I have class with my chamber music group, and we're starting with Dvorak's piano quintet. I'll be playing 2nd violin and I won't get too much solos, but I'll enjoy a lot anyway

Orchestra Lockers

One time my 2nd violin friend decided it was a good idea to sleep inside one of the big band lockers between assembly performances. I decided to stacked bass stools in front of the locker door to lock him in. Sadly enough, we had to go on stage and perform before I finished. Oddly enough, he claimed the locker was comfortable to sleep in (btw, the locker kind of smelled funny, the floor was cluttered with trash  (and clothes??) and he was sitting on a wooden stool). No clue why this suddenly popped into my head, but might as well share.
