Wanted to draw something after realising that the anniversary of the first chapter of wayward was last Friday. The plan was just to post the sketch, but then I decided to try to clean it up a little and things got out of hand.

A rlly close friend of mine hit me with some genuinely peak questions abt this AU, and since I literally cannot shut up once ppl ask me abt lore, I proceeded to infodump.
Asked: Who are Merlin and Snow in this AU? Is Jack basically a Lannister? And was I ever planning on replacing Aerion Targaryen w/ Average?
Merlin isn't actually based on any single akotsk character, buuuut he's heavily inspired by both Valarr and Brynden Rivers. He ended up as a Targaryen prince who wanted to become a maester but was ultimately banned from the Citadel. Naturally Bloodraven swoops in and takes him on as his apprentice instead.
Snow is a Tyrell lady. That's... honestly pretty much it.
And yeah, Jack is a Lannister. The whole idea was that Jack and Snow would grow up as bffs, bc let's be real, the two richest Houses in Westeros end up tied somehow.
As for Aerion, nope he survives this exactly as himself.
There are more questions after that, but that's all I've got to share for now lol.
I’ve been wanting to make this comic for years now, and I finally just bit the bullet and got it done. Just Arthur trying to get his love to not stay up way too late with her work.

Edda has her hair pulled into a lose bun, and is wearing a shirt with large airy sleeves and a long skirt. She’s hunched over a desk holding a pencil in one hand and her head in the other. Arthur is standing beside her, his back turned to the viewer, with his arms crossed. Arthur says: “Edda, it’s past midnight, it’s time to go to bed”. Edda responds with: “I will! I just have to look over this chapter and then-“.
Second part of the comic, this time with four panels in one image. The first shows Arthur looking down with a frown, a small speech bubble with three ellipsis beside his head as another speech bubble displays what Edda is saying out of frame. It reads: “-I really need to check another book because I think it brought up something similar and-“. The second panel shows Arthur suddenly leaning back, one hand grasped over his chest, the other held against his head as if he’s fainting. He’s letting out an “Ah!”, the letters scratched out over the panel in a transparent white. Third panel shows Edda jolting in surprise as Arthur falls to the floor beside her desk, an exclamation beside her head. The fourth panel shows her looking down at him in confusion, lifting her hand off her head, a question mark beside her face as Arthur exclaims: “That evil wizard!”.
Third part of the comic, this one a full page drawing with a small panel at the bottom left. It shows Arthur dramatically sprawled on the floor, one hand still held up with it’s back to his head. He’s yelling: “He’s cursed me from beyond the grave! The light! I can already see it! If only the love of my life-“. The small panel shows him glancing up with a serious expression, saying “-would take a break from her work.”
The final part of the comic, consisting of two panels. The first shows Arthur’s hand stretched up into the air and shaking, with Edda looking at it, hiding a smile behind the hand still holding a pen. Arthur is yelling “And save me with the kiss of life!” The second panel shows Edda turning her chair away from her desk, amused look on her face as she says “Ha! Alright big guy I’ll take a break.” Arthur, leaning up with one elbow on the floor doesn’t respond, but a speech bubble attached to him shows a happy face and an exclamation point.
The question was whether to keep the nickname ‘Red’ for this AU, but I like a bit of a torment, so there you have it: the young squire has named after 'his' late brother :p
All right, this is the last post in this run. Oh, and a while back I posted on my Instagram Stories that I was working on a DuncanxSansa story, but it was going to be rsatsd. However, I came up with some ideas along the way, and Red ended up becoming a blend of Arya and Sansa, along with Arthur the hedge knight.

Uni is sucking out my Red Shoes-shaped soul. I NEED to get some drawings posted, I still have unfinished shit from October and I’m getting itchy.
Like. No brain, I cannot draw really trope-y “scenes” of Alternate-design!Hans and Pirate!Jack enemies to lovers doomed yaoi or draw Gretel’s 8-person girl-group that I’ve been thinking about drawing for 6 years, I have DEADLINES.
