I've tried a number of times to bring this blog back, but every time has felt like pulling teeth, and my roleplaying has evolved far from what it started as.

So this weekend I will be working on a new blog. A multimuse that isn't limited to my UNIT muses and feels fresh.

​There were many instances in which Howie would agree with Clara without question. Whether is be a serious, clutch decision that they would instantly agree on, or just agreeing that Josh's slacking when it came to his turn on the washing up rota was getting out of hand and called for some cruel and unusual punishment. This wasn't one of those times. In fact, this was one of those times where Clara was being cautious, and Howie... didn't understand why.

This door was a gift. A gift from alien bounty hunters as a reward for helping them track down a fugitive hiding in plain sight among humans. So, your average UNIT Wednesday, really.

But this door was special. While Howie has had his closure, this was Clara's. So it was understandable if she was afraid or cautious. But Howie still didn't agree.

"I mean you're sort of right, but in this case I think you're losing more from not opening it."

She'd been focusing so hard on keeping Davey stable that she hadn't seen the gun. Usually the one with laser focus, assessing the situation with precision and calm. And now, that blessing that allowed her to be the perfect field medic was her curse. She'd heard the shot and retaliated instantly, taking down the hostile with perfect aim. Perhaps it was the adrenaline that stopped her from noticing her own wound until the medical extraction team arrived for Davey.

The thing is, Flick was still trying to keep pressure on Davey's wound, even with her own abdomen throbbing with white hot pain. Until the pain got the better of her and the medics made her stop.

The last thing she remembered saying before the painkillers got the better of her was "... Hawkins needs to treat him. Not me."
