Summer is here! Come learn about heatstroke!
My coworker had managed to catch 3 out of 4 kittens that a neighborhood semi-feral popped out 5 weeks ago. So now they are at work to be tamed and found new homes.
I let them sit out to watch the sunset
eughhh
That... is NOT how you use an inhaler with an animal. The aerosol chambers are 100% necessary because an animal will not inhale and then hold their breath on command.
My coworkers are all cackling because, yeah. This would have been equally as effective.
Lets learn about Neonate Resuscitation! 🍼
Found a miracle today
Frenchie with NO hemivertebrae. None. Zero. Nada. There is one slightly bigger lumbar vertebrae but pffft, whatever. Knees and hips are pretty good, too. Face and airway, not so much. :/
But I've never seen a frenchie without at least one hemivertebrae before.
Me: *carefully shaving for a neuter on a 4 month old, very kennel aggressive puppy with a small scrotum*
Punny coworker: Be careful with that one, he's a little teste
Me: *filled with pun-induced rage* howdareyou
I swear this year's overall theme is "lack of owner compliance"
I swear at least a third of our clients are refusing to keep the damn cones on.
Owners: she must have scratched the staples from her spay out
The "cone" they got because the hard one made her sad:
It's also 3 inches too short, not that that would make a difference since it's so damned flexible
She was very very close to eviscerating herself, which she did not do by scratching with a hind foot....
Had another owner take the cone off and the spay chewed her incision until her guts fell out.
Our vets talked with the ER doctor who saw her, and he said he's done FIFTEEN such repairs in the last WEEK.
So it's not just us, which is comforting and enraging at the same time.

~ If you are seeing this, it means that this puppy has been enchanted with a passive aura of good vibes.
Anyone who sees this on their dash gains +1 luck and advantage on all cozy checks for the next 24 hours.
Have some cute to start your weekend off right. After all, we could all use a little joy on this world.
