The body of 18 year old Nolan Xavier Wells has unfortunately been found after he went missing from Horn Island, Mississippi. Wells went boating with a group of boys â the rest of the party being white â on July 4th, but he was the only one who didnât return to shore.
It is becoming increasingly dangerous to be the only black person in a group. Rest in peace, Nolan. You deserve justice.
Update:
Iâve found his familyâs GoFundMe for his funeral and celebration of life expenses. This campaign was created by their family friend Allayah Denis and is the only campaign they have, all others are fraudulent. They havenât reached their goal yet, and funeral expenses are an incredible burden, so if you have the means please consider donating.
In Loving Memory of Nolan Xavier Wells Our hearts are broken beyond words. ⊠Allayah Denis needs your support for In Loving Memory of
As of right now there appears to be no investigation yet, but hopefully there will be soon. Mississippi representative Bennie G. Thompson has publicly urged authorities for an investigation on his social media. If you have any more information please let me know. Iâll put any further updates in a reblog.

Happy Bastille Day!
Bastille Day was probably one of my favorite things to learn about in world history. People literally tore that Bastille apart brick by brick.
.
Happy âFete Nationale du 14 Juilletâ (aka Bastille Day in English )
Because fighting for LibertĂ© , ĂgalitĂ© et FraternitĂ© is a constant combat.
At the center of the Place de la République is a 31 feet (9.4 m) bronze statue of Marianne, the personification of the French Republic, "holding aloft an olive branch in her right hand and resting her left on a tablet engraved with Droits de l'homme (the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen)."
The statue sits atop a monument, the Monument à la République, which is 75 feet (23 m) high.
Marianne is surrounded with three statues personifying liberty, equality, and fraternity, the values of the French Republic. These statues also evoke the three medieval theological virtues.
Also at the base is a lion guarding a depiction of a ballot box.
We were doing an activity where the kids got to make a playbill for a musical about themselves and all the other kids were like âcharacter list: mommy, daddy, me, my brother, my best friendâ âscenes: I get a puppy, first day of school, my baby sister is bornâ
But one little girl was like âoh, itâs a musical about ME you sayâ and the character list was all the other girls in the class cast as her body parts, and a story about how her body works.
âKaylee is nice so she will be the heart. Lily is my kidneys. Sapphire is the lungs.â
She surreptitiously showed me that the girl who kept taking the crayons she was using was cast specifically as âleft buttcheekâ and I had to pretend like that wasnât the funniest thing Iâd ever seen.
