―  Javi was born in the summer in Bronx, New York. His father was one of two Capos for The Control and his mother a doctor for the same gang. 

―  He’s the middle son of 3 kids but the oldest one living. His older brother died at 23, he was a soldier within the Control.

―  At 18, Javi’s girlfriend ended up pregnant and had a son while Javi enlisted in the United States Army. He would spend another 6 years with the military before his father would be killed and he would return home to take his place as Capo, leading the Control Soldiers using his knowledge and skills gained while serving. 

―  His girlfriend became pregnant again around this time and gave birth to their daughter, Isabela, and the two married.

―  Five years after the birth of his daughter, grief struck and they found out that Isabela had an incurable cancer and within a matter of months she was taken from them leaving Javi distraught and colder than ever.

―  The death of his daughter was extremely hard on him and with her death a ruthless, reckless, and impulsive monster was born. This only saw Javi rising in rank to a region manager.

―  It would be no more than a year before his wife would die, taking a bullet that was meant for him. Unable to feel much of anything, Javi’s son went to live with his Javi’s mother, Maricela, his only desire to protect his son’s innocence that remained.

―  Another few years and Javi had risen to Underboss under Adriana Ribeiro. When Adriana passed away and her daughter, Sloane, took over, Javi was understandably, visibly, and vocally upset by it. The girl knew nothing about any of it and he had little faith that she would be able to lead the gang. Of course, he stood corrected and quickly found himself giving the girl a chance and now stands by her and is rather protective of her.

―  There’s only been one girl since the death of his wife that has managed to break through his cold and callous exterior aside from Sloane and that was Reina Castro, Underboss of rival gang Coalition. They broke up about a year and a half ago and he’s been trying to get her back, to show her that she can trust him.

―  Javi loves his son even if it didn’t seem like he cared. In truth, he cared too much about the boy which is why he chose to have his mother raise him, his way of protecting his son and ensuring he didn’t follow in his footsteps.

One thing about Boone Hannigan, he was willing to get down and dirty. Really in all that he did, especially within business, both legal and illegal. While Massimo owned The Clubhouse, Boone managed it, and he treated it like his baby. He took care of it like his own. When shit needed to be done, Boone would get shit done. There was no task to small for him. This particular night was slow, so he cut some of the kitchen staff to save on labor. Inevitably, the club was still open, the patrons were still being served, the trash was still building up. So when it needed to be taken out, Boone was humble enough to roll up his sleeves and take the trash out himself.

And thank God he did. 

When Boone stepped out to the alleyway, and headed to the dumpster, guess what he found. Javier Morales, Underboss of The Control, about to put down some poor son of a bitch. Now, not that Boone had any particular interest in saving the man’s life, surely Javier had his reasons, Javier couldn’t be doing his dirty work behind the club. Cause the only thing that would do would bring the pigs sniffing around The Clubhouse and that’s the last Boone needed.

Placing two fingers in his mouth, Boone whistled loudly to make himself known. “Aye, Morales,” he called out to him, “Do what you gotta do, but you sure as shit ain’t gonna do it in my backyard.” His eyebrow rose.  “Take that shit somewhere else or you and me are  gonna have problems.”

Annoyance drips from the male’s frame at the familiar voice, dog hues rolling as he glanced over his shoulder. “Pendejo,” Javi huffs under his breath before turning his attention back to his current predicament, deep breath inhaled as he holsters his weapon, nodding to the two other men there with him to motion them to take the guy away before turning fully towards Boone. “You’re a pain in my ass, hermano.”

Farah looked over the receipt of her order as she carried the bag of food as she made her way to Javi’s workplace. She didn’t know if he had eaten lunch and she had plenty to share so she decided on a surprise visit would be nice. It was a pretty good distance from the restaurant to where Javi worked and from the hospital she worked at. Which reminded her that she had slipped in a few supplies and other needs into her bag that she could use outside of work. She knew stealing from the hospital wasn’t the best idea but it was the easiest way to get what she needed for herself and the gang. When she finally arrived at the shop, the smell of sweat, grease and oil filled her nose which scrunched up instantly until she adjusted to the smell itself. Walking in, she glanced around looking for Javi until her eyes fell on the sight of a man with half his body under the car itself. Chuckling quietly, she made her way over to him and lightly tapped his leg with her heel. “You hungry?” She asked.

The tap against his leg was enough to pull his attention from what he had been working on beneath the vehicle, gliding himself out from under, white tank tight against his torso as his jumper remained zipped only up to his waist, dark hues landing on brunette quizzically before it registered who it was standing above him and he stood himself up, blackened palms rubbing against material of jumper as he nodded. “Starved,” Javi mused. “What’d you bring me?”

While he wasn’t out of the forest just yet, relief washed over Nate, hearing the weapon get placed right back into its holster. Pulling himself together, he tried not to flinch as a hand was placed on his shoulder, and Nate looked up, not daring to say anything. He wasn’t being punished, even if the ache in his bones was already settling in, but the promise in the other’s words seemed to be proof enough that he wasn’t getting out of this clean either. “I understand.” He nodded, internally questioning himself again and again- why did he get into all of this? Why couldn’t he just stay out of trouble? “I haven’t, no- but, whatever it takes, right? I have to be the best.” If I want to live, he almost wanted to add.

Amusement crossed hardened features, a chuckle easing from his lips as he pulled the younger male into his side, arm draping across his shoulders. “That’s the spirit, hombre,” Javi mused in response. “Now let’s get your ass cleaned up before people start asking questions, eh?”

Kelsey was minding her own business, really she was, or at least she was trying to. The blonde just had a terrible habit of getting distracted by things she saw around her when she was doing something as simple as walking down the New York City streets, so when she heard something in the alley to her left she couldn’t help but double take. Taking in the sight of the one male standing over the other menacingly, clearly threatening him. Luckily she took enough time to think through her reaction so as not to immediately jump in to try and help the threatened, but sadly she’d paused too long and with every second she hovered there wide eyed she ran the risk of being spotted.

He wasn’t unaware of his surroundings at any point in the day, something he quickly learned during his time serving in the army and so the sound of approaching footsteps that seemingly stopped and went nowhere had piqued his curiosity, turning his head to the side slightly to glance over his shoulder at the blonde, a faint grin pulling against his lips. “Your parents ever tell you it’s not polite to stare, amor,” Javi questioned tauntingly before his gaze fell on his men, giving a nod. “Get rid of him and make it clean.” He waited a moment for the others to disappear before his frame turned to face the girl, leaning himself against the nearby wall as he toyed with the weapon in his hands. “Now pray tell am I supposed to do about you, huh,” he asked her.

Back alleys were Reina’s shortcuts to get to and from work. Normally, all alleys were empty until tonight. She saw two figures, one standing and the other on their knees. She wasn’t sure what was happening and was about the turn and leave until she recognized the voice. She approached the scene but kept a distance to let Javi finish whatever he was doing. She leaned against the wall, pulled out a cigarette, quickly lighting it and exhales the smoke. “You haven’t changed Javi. Always gotta have a conversation with the poor soul before getting the job done.” she chuckled quietly.

Dark hues rolled at the familiar voice, though an amused smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he turned to face her, gun still in hand. “What makes you thing that the job isn’t just instill some fear, give a threat, tell him to report it back to his boss and call it a night,” Javi questioned, albeit rhetorically before he lifted the weapon, gaze still on Reina before he shot two bullets into the man’s chest. “You miss me so much, mi reina, that you had to come looking for me down alleys? I’m flattered, really.”

Sloane was technically Javi’s boss, even if sometimes she forgot about that thanks to his confidence and their age difference. He’d been in The Control under her mother’s reign as well as her own which made her feel sometimes like he had more knowledge than she did. He’d seen how things worked before she took over, had the upper hand of hindsight, but she had to keep reminding herself that in order to be an effective leader she had to prove her right to the … throne. Okay so not throne, but to be the boss of the organisation. Turning to look at him she shrugged, letting out a sigh as she drained the rest of her martini. “I came to show my face, I never said anything about joining in. Sometimes it’s just about being present.” Turning to scan the bar in an attempt to order a second drink, no wait it was her third one, either way she needed more. “I told you that you didn’t have to be here.”

A brow rose at Sloane’s words, scoffing softly as his glass was risen to his lips and he downed the clear liquid before returning his gaze to the gang boss. “And let you come to a rival gang’s club alone,” Javi retorted. “In your dreams, Sloane. I don’t even have to begin to tell you why that was a bad idea to even begin with.”

One thing led to another, and Nate was losing it. It wasn’t the first time he had lost a fight, but it was the first time he had such high stakes in it. He couldn’t help it, not when the opponent was double, if not triple his size, and somehow incredibly fast. His ribs ached from the beating he had taken, and he could swear his nose was just on the verge of breaking, so when he was cornered in an alley right afterward, he knew he couldn’t even attempt to run away. Not when the people doing that were someone he was supposed to work for. “I’m sorry, sir.” He apologized, although that had to mean nothing. “I couldn’t- I tried. I swear.”

“Apparently you didn’t try hard enough, Nathan,” Javi hummed, dark hues falling on the young male before a heavy sigh eased from his lips. He was a lot of things, some might have even said he was a psychopath but he wasn’t heartless. That much was evident as he holstered his weapon to his hip, a hand placing against the man’s shoulder as he stared down at him. “You understand how much money we have riding on you,” he questioned. “From now on you’ll be training with me. You ever been to boot camp? Prepare for the training of your life, kid.”

It was irritating how a simple task given could be turned into a big giant mess, one that inevitably would be left for Javi to take care of such as he was doing now as he stood in the back alley, metal clinking lightly in his hand as he looked down at a male that had been forced to his knees. “I really do hate having to do this, hermano,” Javi spoke. “But apparently some people just can’t do their jobs right and it’s rather unfortunate for you, isn’t it?”

Location: The Clubhouse Nightclub Who: Anyone When: Monday evening - 9:30pm

Sloane had been forced into an entire new mindset since taking over The Control from her mother, she wasn’t just keeping her eyes and ears open for people who might be beneficial to her fashion career. No, now she had to watch for possible threats, people who might take her business, those who might be talking about things she needed to keep a lid on, or worse, rats. The city was rife with them and not just in the way most think of New York City. Taking another sip of her martini she watched a couple across the far side of the club with her eyes narrowed inconspicuously - not wanted to be seen to be doing it. Obviously. This was The Clubhouse Nightclub, she was dicing with danger just by being here, but why shouldn’t she be? It was a friend’s birthday party and the club was a hotspot in the city it would have been more weird had she not turned up. Everything had to continue as usual to retain a facade. Hearing the person next to her was talking she allowed her attention to be pulled towards them, leaning in a little. “What did you say?”

He wasn’t entirely sure why he had tagged along to the nightclub for one of her friends birthday parties and yet here he was, seated at the bar toying with a class of brandy. His darkened gaze was more than enthralled with the liquid sloshing around in the glass as he tilted it back and forth, having only allowed his gaze to remain off Sloane as she was seated beside him and he hadn’t a need to worry about anyone trying anything with him right beside her. It was obvious she wasn’t paying any attention as he had spoken and gotten no response until she eventually looked his way and leaned towards him. “Why did you come to this thing if you were just gonna be a barfly the entire time,” Javi questioned, brow risen in amusement as he glanced down at his boss.
