So Dani’s character isn’t really explored as far as I can tell, a fact that I have bemoaned multiple times

Ghost are reliant on emotions. Strong emotions that ghost have. That dani has
So she’s a black lantern.
Dani gets a ring, but when she’s in ghost form fighting the GIW out of the country, but when he turns human, she doesn’t out on the ring and just carries it around with her. She hardly uses it cuss she hardly goes ghost with the GIW acts legal
The black power ring doesn’t really control her, it affects her emotions, but control her? No. She’s still part human and ghost royalty.
She ends up exploring Coast City while traveling, and she bumps into an out of suit green lantern. She drops the ring, and the lantern sees. They inform the other lanterns.
Now everyone is on the hunt for a 13 yo girl with a black power ring. But the problem is that they don’t know she half alive, so they’re kinda looking for a dead girl.
Dani thinks they’re hunting her because she a dead girl and they will tune her into the GIW, so she’s not making the search easy for them.
That’s all I have for now, but any suggestions or corrections would make my day :)
So Damian is in college, and he’s continued being a vigilante, but people are starting to get a bit suspicious when he leaves during a rouge attack. He needs someone to be his alibi, and it has to be someone he can realistically be around alone for long periods of time.
Enter Danielle Jane Masters. She’s an archaeology major, and is currently looking for a place to live that’s not a dorm. Quiet enough to to slip by, but is also a presence that’s impossible to fully ignore. She’s also pretty and smart enough for their ‘relationship’ to not be a total shock
Damian offers his apartment in exchange for her to be his fake girlfriend.

Dani’s attending GU, and after her roommate infested her dorm with mutated cockroaches, she decides that she’s done with the dorm hall.
She can’t exactly find a place to stay with roommates willing to overlook her halfa oddities (doesn’t eat much/at all, eyes glow, etc) and she can’t afford rent on her own (and she would not be asking Vlad for money). Jazz and Danny have enough on their plate, with Danny taking his rightful throne and Jazz getting a PhD in Star City.
Dani also is keeping a low profile, partly due to the GIW and partly due to the bats, who might run her out of town before she finishes her degree.
So having a fake boyfriend to keep her cover as a normal college student is perfect. All she has to do is be a good fake girlfriend until she graduates and she can leave town.
Why Damian needs a fake girlfriend is none of her business, but she suspects hes involved in crime.
They mostly ignore each other, but over time they develop a small friendship and a ‘friends with benefits’ type of thing even though they’re already ‘dating’.
Shenanigans in no particular order:
- Damian notices Dani doesn’t eat much, and gets pretty concerned, especially after he realizes she also doesn’t sleep (halfa stuff)
- Dani gets the flu, and Damian goes full doctor mode. Turns out Dani not only hates being cared for, she’s also clingy when she’s sick
- Dani doesn’t come back one night, so Damian goes out to look for her and finds her as a sacrifice for a cult meant to bring ‘peace and harmony’ to the world. They take her blood and before they add it to the circle, all the power cuts out. Damian heads back to the apartment to find Dani waiting for him, saying she was ‘so worried’ (She was. She sensed he was near during the ritual and caused a city-wide blackout and slipped out invisibly and intangibly)
-the Waynes are entirely convinced that Dani and Damian are actually dating, and Damian goes: ‘these fucking idiots. I wonder how long we can fool them.’ Surprisingly, Danis up for the challenge, and Damian invites her to a gala, where they pretend to be the most in love couple then can be without making it obvious they’re faking. Has Dani always stared at him like this?
-Jon visits, and even he’s convinced. That’s when Damian realizes that he actually wants to date Dani
-Something happens to Dani’s room/bed (maybe it’s flooded, the frame snaps, etc) and suddenly it’s just one bed
-that same night, one of Damian’s sibling slip through Damian’s window bc they’re injured and just see Damian and Dani and it’s just really awkward, especially if one of them wakes up.
-if it’s Dani that wakes up, she just sees a shadow at the foot of the bed, realizes Damian’s sleeping right next to her, and she grabs the nearest lamp and throws it. The person crumples to the ground and Dani finally turns on the light to see a vigilante on the ground unconscious.
- if it’s Damian, he’s just really embarrassed while the vigilante thinks it’s cute. Damian ends up trying to get his sibling to leave while also trying to not wake up Dani, who eventually smothers him with a pillow trying to get him to shut up.
-it turns out they sleep way better when the others there, so they make excuses to stay
-Danny stops by for an hour and is promptly not fooled by their charade and accuses Damian of holding her hostage. Barbara or Tim decide to hack into his apartment’s security camera and catches the part of the conversation where Danny threatens Damian
-one of them gets partnered with a member of the opposite gender, and the other is wildly jealous about it
-one of them gets a stalker and they spot the stalker in public, and in order to ward them off, they start making out with the other. The stalker posts the photos on the internet
-a talk show wants to have an interview with them, and they play a game (“what’s their favorite color? “What’s their biggest pet peeve” etc). They answer every question correctly.
-they have a public pretend fight that gets a little too real
-Jason or Steph finds out and they help Damian plan an apology date
-someone insults Damian too Dani’s face and Dani snaps. There’s yelling, video recordings, and a whole bunch of shit and Dani doesn’t even realize Damian’s standing right behind her, approaching her to ask her out on that apology date.
-Dani gets invited out by some of her friends and they ditch her and Dani’s drunk, has no ride, and is feeling extremely uncomfortable, so she calls Damian, who drops whatever he’s doing to come get her
-Damian gets home late after a rough patrol and Dani fell asleep at the counter waiting for him because she was worried
-fake proposal. Even better if it’s not planned at all, and they’re just like “do you to marry me?” “Ok sure.” “👍”
Any more ideas? Not sure how it’ll end, so i want to see your suggestions
So Vlad and Bruce attend GA together, and Vlad is coming back to Gotham, and Bruce invited him over to reconnect.
At first, the Wayne brood didn’t care much. It was just dinner with Bruce’s old friend.
Then they realized Vlad had kids.
4, to be exact. Jordan (21), Jazz (18), Danny (17), and Dani (15).
Immediately, the Waynes take a romantic interest in them.
Dick and Jordan are hanging out after work, Cass and Jazz attend self defense classes together. Danny and Duke have classes at school and Dani and Damian are volunteering at the same shelter.
(Jason and Tim have their respective partners, but are willing to wingman)
The Fentons? They’re oblivious to the Waynes advances.
Jordan: Man, you love a *specific flavor of energy drink* every Monday like I do!
Dick, who hates that brand and flavor, but buys it for Jordan every Monday: hahah, sure do!

Vlad, watching Damian tweak out: how long do you think it’ll take until one of my kids realize that your kids want to date them?
Bruce: hmmm… I think it’ll take a bit longer, except for Jordan and Dick, Tim caught them making out last week, so I would say three more weeks for those two
A couple months into Dani’s 13 travels she ends up in Fawcett, homeless.
Billy, who 15, and still kept his identity a secret within the League and is still homeless comes across Dani and takes her under his wing. Danny is ghost king.
They become siblings, and Dani knows about Captain Marvel and Billy knows that she a halfa and ghost royalty
One day, the Justice League needs all hands on a deck for an alien invasion. Everyone is forced to call in every favor they are owed, and Billy calls Dani.
Dani arrived in her ghost princess outfit. Everyone is extremely confused.
JLA: who’s this…??
Marvel: my younger sister :)))
Dani: hi :)))
JLA: hi..??
The magic users, don’t know much bout ghost royalty, but they do know that the ghost king is the older brother of the ghost princess.
Captain Marvel’s the ghost king????
They also know that the Ghost King is extremely private (also checks out) so they don’t mention their theory to Marvel.
So whenever there’s an issue with ghosts or anything ghost related, they call in Captain Marvel.
Billy deals with the issue, using the skills Dani taught him, which further ‘proves’ the JLAs theory.
One day, some one attempted to summon a dangerous ghost, that even Captain Marvel can’t defeat.
So while Jack and Maddie didn’t immediately try to hunt down Danny 16 when he informed them he was a halfa, they did sigh over parental rights to Vlad. Jazz 17 disowned her parents after this and got emancipated.
Vlad packed ups and moves to Gotham, dragging Dani 14 along with them.
Danny and Dani attended Gotham academy, and they hung out with Bruce Wayne 15 during school. The three did everything together, and they were the second and third people Bruce told about ‘traveling’ the world.
Last minute, Dani and Danny snuck onto his plane. It was 7 minuets before landed that Bruce figured out they were there.
Neither parties were happy.
Eventually, Danny and Dani convinced Bruce to let then join him in his training.
When they return to Gotham, it isn’t just Batman who debuts, it’s also Phantom and Wraith.
Danny is 18, and is on the run from Vlad, who wanted to reattempt his cloning plot. In order to do that, he had to see why Dani was the only cloning that managed to survive. Sam, Tucker,the Fentons and Jazz are dead
So he kidnapped her, and in the process, Dani deaged to an infant. Currentlyx they were both nearing Gotham, and, the GIW were on their tail
Danny made it all the way to Bristol before he had to stash Dani in a alley and deal with the GIW agents
Danny doesn’t return.
An hour later Thomas and Martha Wayne were out for a walk with their one month old son when the heat faint cries of a baby from an alley.
They enter the alley and see an infant girl wrapped in a blanket covered with stars. Her only belongings were a green thermos, vials of bright green liquid and a red beanie with the name ‘Danielle Jane’ scrawled on it.
Normally they would’ve reported this to the police, but everyone knew that the police was corrupted and the fosters homes were horrible.
Besides, there was something about the girl that seemed… otherworldly.
So, the took her in.
Teh next week, the Gotham Gazette was printing papers with the front page ‘Wayne family reveals female twin, Danielle Jane Wayne!’
They had pretended that Danielle was the twin that they didn’t know about until the due date and she came out sickly, so the doctors kept her in the hospital until she recovered.
As they grew up, Dani and Bruce were inseparable, with Dani not remembering her halfa side and Bruce not knowing they weren’t twins. They looked similar enough anyway.
All that change when the twins were 8. Thomas and Martha died, and the pain, shock and grief triggered Dani’s memories of being a halfa. The death kick started Bruce’s quest for vengeance (Dani wouldn’t seek vengeance, she couldn’t, not after Dan)
They began to drift apart. Bruce didn’t tell her about his vigilante plans and Dani didn’t tell him about her halfa status.
By the time they were 19 and Bruce dropped out of collage, they both began traveling. Bruce to train, Dani to have fun.
Dani continued traveling when Bruce returned, promising to visit. Eventually Gotham forgot about the Wayne Heiress, especially as Batman appeared and Bruce adopted more children. Bruce also forgot to tell his kids about their ‘bio’ aunt
There are a couple ways the Batkids could find out about Dani
- Bruce gets lost in the Time stream and Alfred was deemed too old to get custody and Dick was deemed too young. No one knows what to do now, until Alfred calls in Dani, who arrives and immediately gets custody, reminding Gotham that she exists.
- a batkid is cleaning out the attic/empty rooms as a punishment and finds the Fenton thermos, ecto vials, and baby blanket.
Batkid (probs Dick): Bruce why do you have Lazarus pit water in your attaric??
Everyone: …
Bruce: … what?
Alfred: ah, those are your sisters
Bruce: where did Dani get Lazarus water? She hasn’t been at the Manor in years
Batkids: …we have an aunt???
Alfred: Martha and Thomas found her in an alley with those belongings. She seems to have forgotten to collect them. I shall give her a call.
Bruce: …Dani isn’t my twin sister?
Batkids: YOU HAVE A TWIN??!?

- Bruce and the JLA are breaking into a GIW facility to get evidence for a murder (a collage boy named Daniel Fenton) and found Dani breaking in at the same time
-Dani ends up dating a JLA member and said member introduces her to the team (bonus points if it’s Hal or Diana)
- SO MUCH ANGEST AND CRACK AND FLUFF COULD BE FIT UNTO THIS PROMPT D O Y O U S E E T H E V I S I O N ? ? ?
So GIW has managed to get a hold of Technus’s new project. A project centered on video games.
Technus’s plan was to trap Phantom in a video game.
The game would take place in the ghost zone, and you’d have to fight different ghosts to defeat each level. The levels get more difficult as you go on. You can stop to grab ecto-dejecto to increase your health.
Anyway, the GIW got their hands on it and tested the game on the ghost scums.
Dani (Elle, 16), Danny (19), Jordan (Dan 27) and Jazz (22) (she became ver liminal due to ecto exposure) were meeting up in Amity Park when the got ambushed and sucked into…. a video game?
The GIW plays the game to test and realize that it’s actually pretty fun. And they need more funding after Vlad Masters didn’t renew the contract (something about his godchildren and daughter going missing?)
So the mass produced and sold the game.
It is an instant hit.
Now the other copies are actual programs characters and sorts, but the OG copy got lost and ended up in the shipments or games going to Gotham.
It was Wayne Famiky game night, and they all decided to play the four player game that came out last month. It was called The Ghost Zone.
They read reviews and description of the game and through it would be fun
(The Ghost Zone is a dangerous place, but with the help of your great, you might manage to make it out alive! You have four characters to choose from: Dr Jazz Phantom a brilliant psychologist. Danny Phantom, astromancy expert. Dante Phantom the ghost engineer and Elle Phantom, the teen explorer and ghost expert!)
None of the Waynes had played the game before, but they turned it and everything seemed normal. Duke played as Danny, Dick am played as Elle, Steph played as Jazz, and Tim played as Dante.
None of them could make it past level 5 without dying, so they handed the controllers over to Cass, Damian, Jason and Barbara.
But the moment Damian (17) and Jason (27) (changing the ages here) touched the controllers to pick their characters, they vanished.
There were two new characters on the screen, along with two frozen avatars.
Jason Todd: gun expert and literature nerd.
Damian Al Ghul: swordsman and animal whisperer
(Damian and Jason are the most liminal, and this is the OG copy of the game and it mistook them as ghost and sucked them in.)

Jason and Damian had been sucked into a video game.
Now, they have to survive the ghost zone until the Bats can get them out. They also learned that the 4 ‘characters’ are actually real people.
They were ghosts, ghosts were real. And they got sucked into a video game. For an odd reason, they had their swords and guns.
The bats are freaking out. They watched two of their members get sucked into a video can that was known for being impossible to beat.
Like I mentioned, this was the OG copy, so the characters (I’m gonna start calling the video game characters ‘characters’ and the players ‘players’) have some control over what they can ‘say’.
They can change the character dialogue to give clues and hints.
But when it comes to actual gameplay, they are mostly at the mercy of the controller, with a few exceptions.
But considering none of the hero’s exactly have enough time to learn the game and master it in a short amount of time, (except Tim (he watched Bernard played extensively) they are forced to call the worlds best players.

Tucker Foley, Samantha Manson, Valerie Grey and and Wes Weston immediately knew that the characters in the video game were their classmates. It was obvious once you saw the signs. And Technus came to them the moment he realized he messed up.
Considering they all live in Amity, the ecto in the air is bringing out the OG programming, so snippets of the characters actual conversation pop up on screen for a moment before glitching back to its programmed sentences.
Unfortunately, Sam and Wes didn’t have the video game experience that Tucker did, so it was up to him to try to beat the game, hoping it would bring his fiends back. He mastered the game up to level 20 out of 25, but never made it past that point.
Suddenly he was asked to come to the Hall of Justice to play video games for The Justice Leauge.
Valerie and Sam came with him, and they realized why they were asked to come.
This was the copy that Dan, Dani, Dan and Jazz got sucked in.

Shenanigan ideas
-characters drops codes and hints about ghosts and the GIW in the character dialogue
- Tucker logs in with his name and the Bats deciphered a code that translated to ‘Tckrs playng!!!’
-since Dani is the ghost expert in the game, she’s very overcoming by stress and lashes out at Damian, who ends up not liking her (he actually loves people who could bend him in half, it’s a Wayne Family Trait) (totally serious chaos) (reluctant partners to lovers)
-SPECIAL POWERS
• Dan can collect scrap junk and create weapons out of them. The long he collects, the more dangerous the weapon
• Jazz can stun the ghost with a few words in ghost speak, but will need ecto-dejecto to heal her damaged vocal cords (and because she’s liminal and not a halfa)
• Danny can summon a previously defeated ghost if he’s at full power, but when he does he’s then extremely weakened. He also has a spell books of smaller spells that he can use when the stars align
• Dani can talk to the ghost in their native language when they were alive and clam them down temporarily. She can also read maps of the GZ easier than the others.
•Jason can speak ghost speak easier, and is the only one that can read it casual. Can also wield any type of gun
•Damian can speak to the ghost animals and get their help on special occasions, but will need an ecto-dejecto boost after
- the ghosts they have to fight are imitations of the the rouge gallery
- Sam and Wes creating a true crime podcast. Which gains views, and they talk about the missing Fentons. It gains traction online and people realize that the characters in the game look alike, have the same hobbies and interest, and the same names. The GIW is suddenly under scrutiny
-can someone PLEASE make trading cards of the characters and the ghosts!?!!? :DDD
Ok this one is a little far fetched and might get me some angry comments and reblogs, but I wrote this for me, not for you, so if you don’t like it you can scroll.
Warning, Bruce x Dani
Bruce is 19, and just left to do his world tour thingy when he meets Dani.
Dani (19) is in a bad place. The Fenton parents are dead. Jazz is dead, Danny is healing in the ghost zone, Sam is missing, Tucker is in a semi permanent coma and Dan is deaged to a year old and the GIW is still legal.
Dani and Bruce were created from a life of tragedy.
So when Dani and Bruce meet, they click instantly.
They had a whirlwind romance that lasted up until they were both 21 and dan is 3.
Eventually though, Bruce know he will have to leave, and Dani know he cannot stay.
He invites her to Gotham, by she refuses. the AEA make it hard to live in the US. Plus the GIW is still hunting her and Dan
So Bruce returns alone.
Keep in mind, he just started being Batman, he doesn’t have the connections within the Government as Batman, and it would be suspicious for Brucie to suddenly pressure the government ink removing a set of acts that ‘protects’ America citizens. And because within the next 15 years or so, he adopts a family, so he kinda forgot about the acts
But one day, while all the kids are on a siblings trip and Alfred is on holiday, there’s a knock at Wayne Manor.
It’s 15 year old Dan, looking beat to hell, and without his mother.
The GIW had finally caught up with Phantasm and his ghost son. But Dani stashed Dan away to protect him, and they took Dani instead of them both. Dani always told him that if he needed help and she wasn’t there, to go to Bruce Wayne’s house in Gotham City.
(Yes I am aware that the age math isn’t matching, but because Dan was deaged and didn’t grow up in a place with ectoplasma in the air, he didn’t age and developed qright. He’ll age better now that he’s in Gotham tho)
So when Bruce’s kids and Alfred arrive a week later he sits them down and says.
Bruce: I have someone I want to introduce to you
Jason: oh hell- it’s another kid, isn’t it??
Tim: Doesn’t he have black hair and blue eyes??
Cass: does he have trauma??
Dick: why couldnt you stop with Duke!
Bruce: hey, if anything, he’s my first kid! I had him before you! (You cannot convince me that after raising Dan for two years, he didn’t see himself as Dan’s dad)
Everyone:
Duke: say what now?
Dan: sup
Dan: and yes, I do have trauma
Bruce: Dan will be living with us until I find his mother
Damian: who is his mother?
Bruce: my ex
Everyone:
Steph: oh god you have another blood son
Bruce: no me and Dan aren’t related by blood. Anyway, my ex got herself kidnapped by a government organization that declared her and Dan none sentient.
What if, after Damian’s numerous year with the Legae of Assassins, he becomes some sort of liminal?? But more powerful than a regular liminal?? Almost border lining halfa status???
And i love the head cannon where halfas are kind of immortal. Like where the die, and the pop out of their dead body and get a new alive one. What if the reset happened a week after??
What if one day Damian dies somehow and gets buried and a week later Bruce visits his grave and sees the sort moving and thinks:
I can’t let another one of my sons dig themselves out of their grave again
The rest of the family finds him hours later cradling a very alive and not very human looking Damian (because Liminals look a bit different that regular humans)
Bonus points if Danny is part of the family and his hiding his halfa status
So after having a sort of redemption arc, Dan goes to Clockwork and asks if him could be reincarnated. CW agrees and Dan becomes Bruce Wayne, with all his memories intact.
(He’s still in the same universe as before so Danny (18), Dani(16), Jazz(20), etc are still alive and kicking)
He still has his Batman training montage but when he goes to Circus Haley he takes in Dick Grayson because he doesn’t want the boy to be fueled with anger like he was after the Nasty Burger accident.
So, Robin takes flight.
Bruce never mentions his previous life to Dick, and whenever he has to deal with a ghost issue, Alfred covers for him. Alfred obviously knows.
Bruce adopts Jason, Tim, Cass, Duke and when Damian comes around, Bruce’s sees someone so angry, so hurt he decides to get his shit together to parent right.
When Jason returns, Bruce figures out the entire Pit madness thing and fixes that for him.
(If he has a romantic relationship with Talia, Selina, Clark etc is up to you) (I personally ship Hal and Bruce together in this AU)
Maybe one day, he gets injured.
Badly.
He’s bleeding green and he flickering between his Humana and ghost form while his children watch in horror.
The only solution is to call Danny and Dani

Damian doesn’t see the importance of this project, the teacher insists though that it will be a fun activity while learning about letter structures, and a way for them all to possibly make a new friend. Which doesn’t interest him at all.
The project is basically two students from two different class periods will be paired up randomly and will have to write letters to one another. While doing this they aren’t allowed to say their real name or disclose any obvious information on who they are. Only after a month of going back and forth would their writing partner be revealed.
That last sentence was the only thing making things interesting, because Damian was going to use this as a test on his investigation skills. His only goal for this project was to discover his writing partner before the month's end.
The first thing Damian notes is that some students, himself included, are given letters. While others are directed to start writing the first letter. This tells him that his partner is someone in an earlier English class.
Opening the envelope and letter in his hands the first thing Damian notes is the handwriting. Messy but luckily still legible to read.
The second thing is the anonymous name his partner has chosen for himself, Pluto. A name suggesting a love for astronomy and/or astrology. A name meaning death and rebirth.
The letter itself, Damian is pleasantly surprised, isn't filled with basic getting to know you questions, but is instead something akin to an argumentative essay. Without realizing it Damiean is already writing a response; sharing his own thoughts on the topic. Things he agrees and disagrees with.
By the time he's done and needs to put his own anonymous name Damian chooses to by the name Mercury; known as the messenger.
Damian: Grandfather. What brings you to my training grounds?
Ra's: I have decided on your betrothed. His name is Daniel Fenton, and he is the heir to the throne of the Infinite Realms.
Damian: Understood. *Waits until Ra's leaves, then turning to Talia like a war veteran experiencing flashbacks* HE is the heir to the throne of the infinite Realms? My betrothed is a he!?
Talia: Yes, he.
Damian: I see.
Years later:
Bruce: Damian, why does your mother's latest letter mention a fiancé? Are you engaged?
Damian: Oh yes, to a Daniel Fenton, son of Jack and heir of Clockwork. I've never met him, though. He exists in a different plane of existence.
Bruce: How did this happen?
Damian: Grandfather struck a deal with Clockwork, the ruler of time, and sealed our engagement with a power boost to the Pits.
Bruce: Alright.....that's-
Jason: Did you say Daniel Fenton son of Jack? I know that kid!
Damian: You do? From your time being dead?
Jason: Nah from the community center. He takes my cooking class.
Damian: What
Jason: This is him. *shows cooking class group photo*
Damian:
Bruce: I assume you aren't impressed with your fiance?
Damian: Look at him! That's not the build of a warrior! He looks like a servant, and not even a good one of he need cooking classes from Todd.
Jason: The hell does that mean?
Damian: He makes me sick. I can not believe I will spend the rest of my life as his husband.
Bruce: You don't have to marry him-
Damian: I will have to teach him to fight and work on his mannerisms. He can not be confused as a servant in my presence. It's bad for my image. At least he has a pleasing enough face to make up for his everything. I can work with a gorgeous face like that.
Bruce: Should I be worried?
Jason: You should have been worried from the day you found out your DNA mixed with Talia's.
Ghosts are very emotional and very self aware creatures. Why lie when there's no reason to? Why work around the honest trust when it could possibly get what you want? The only reason that concept is so difficult for humans is because they lie all the time.
Danny was raised human, that's a fact. But he was also raised around crazy people, crazy people that other humans consider not so human. So is it surprising that he grew up a bit- unwell? His parents were loud, direct and very tethered to their work so not so different from his parents.
Danny has his accident, not with his school friends. It was while his family was checking over the portal. So he died and came back to life in front of his parents and Jazz. But they didn't really realize anything was wrong, they knew Danny was different but his attitude? Nah that was the same.
He may have turned invisible or some other definitely not human things to do but they didn't really care. Danny was alive and well all he needed was a little control so he could stop breaking off the doorknob but that's all. (Jack was very pleased Danny must have gotten his strength) No he didn't but that's okay.
But to the rest of the world it seemed like Daniel Fenton had gotten more aggressive. More insane than usual, that leaves a very heavy strain on his friendships. He doesn't see anything wrong, hell Danny even asked his sister and she said he was fine.
The people Amity Park really didn't get it, at some point he ended up getting expelled due to "behavioral issues". His parents went to argue with the school board but they refused to even let them in. Before the rest of the Fentons could storm the building Jazz made a suggestion.
She would take Danny with her as she was going to Gotham U and Danny could go to the school there. Apparently the school has a strange reputation for collecting smart yet strange people. Easily sold, their parents agreed and would travel back and forth since they couldn't quite move their research just yet.
Several legal troubles later and boom, new Gotham Academy student have arrived. One that kept getting stares and side eyes from other students, probably because he called out the first person to talk to him. Some girl that was very poorly lying to his face.
At first he thought he would have to be alone in the annoying school but then he came across the love of his life. Love at first scolding! Damian Wayne was everything Danny could understand. Smart, loud and proud with no reason to lie. He was yelling at one of their CO writers for a group project.
Danny insisted on them being friends (one step closer to being lovers) and Damian didn't say no. He instead gave him ground rules and told Danny if he couldn't handle that he should get lost. As if Danny would say no, he was ready to follow him to the end of the world if needed.
So while trying to court the pretty boy there were a few problems. Damian was very popular, not just with girls but guys too. They kept bothering and budding into their alone time. Which, he wished he could do something about it but Damian told him that if someone was talking to him to just let them talk and he would handle them as quickly as possible.
No patience whatsoever. Danny would just stare them down from behind Damian until they either finished or he successfully scared them off. There was also the no touching rule, he can respect that but it seems some people couldn't. They clung on to his arm or something, thankfully Danny had permission to pull them off but he couldn't do anything else to them.
The list of issues could go on.
Damian on the other hand is very aware that he has picked up a puppy. Daniel Fenton was no human, he didn't present himself as suck and he got it confirmed by Duke's sight that Daniel was something other. He had somehow acquired an Eldritch Being attention and he insisted on fulling him.
As long as he was able to keep the being from rampaging the fellow student body Damian has successfully done his job. However Daniel was very attached to his side so he had been able to do much outside his civilian identity for a while. What to do now?
So, Pariah Dark wakes up. He and Danny fight. Danny wins, becomes Ghost King, yadda yadda.
But in this AU Pariah's core gets destroyed because that's the only way Danny can defeat him without a bunch of people dying (angst potential).
Anyway, that means that he was never put back into the sarcophagus of Forever Sleep. So it's just... Hanging around inside the castle that Danny now has.
So one day Danny comes across it, and doesn't know what it is. He thinks it's just a fancy coffin. And since it's a coffin and he's dead, he thinks it would be funny to have a nap in the coffin (He's very tired with all the king stuff plus school).
So he takes a nap in the sarcophagus, and has the best sleep of his unlife. And since it's not locked once he wakes up he just gets out of it.
Needless to say overtime Danny takes a lot of naps in the sarcophagus.
One day it gets summoned by cultists or some rough or whatever. And the Batfam/Justice League/Teen Titins (doesn't matter which as long as Damian is there) are there to try and stop them from waking up the ghost king form his Forever Sleep and dooming the world, cause the think Pariah is still the king.
And in the middle of the fighting the sarcophagus opens not to reveal a scary and powerful tyrant king. But rather to reveal a teenage boy with bed head, space themed pjs and a stuffed rocketship pillow.
Said teenage boy is the most beautiful thing Damian has ever seen. And he becomes even more beautiful when he starts yelling at people for disturbing his nap.
Bruce-Damian I must ask why isn’t it that you bring home a lover yet you’re already in college.
Damian -it is a difficult task to find someone suitable.
Bruce - what are the qualities of your future lover must have that are so hard to find
Damian- they must be tall ,smart,confident,courageous and carry themselves with grace.

The rest of the family just watching the whole situation in amusement.
