I was always searching for more tales of valor, heroism and bravery both in history and fiction. Honestly, I used to be embarrassed about my ‘other life’ as a nerd. I often didn’t tell my friends at school about it. But expressing that side of myself through photography, and Instagram, helped me become proud of my passions. When you find something that you love, your enthusiasm is infectious and it makes people want to be a part of it. My favorite photos come from adventures in the forests of my native South Carolina. Running over hills, climbing trees and leaping streams, all while carrying my longbow and quiver of arrows. This is freedom to me.”
