Why is the Memories of Phantasm artstyle a thing

Don't get me wrong. I don't dislike the artstyle: i think is beautiful for most of the episodes. For a period i even started to imitate that artstyle!

But from episode 9 to 18 (especially the last one), i saw a decline in the animation and how they draw the bodies.

I know MoP is made by fans, I don't usually hate to see anime girls with big bobbies and a little pelvis, but in the last episode?

You see how they were just lazy to draw different body styles: sometimes it's like to see characters heads photoshopped on another body.
