Hey y’all I know this tumblr is basically dead but good news I just started a TikTok since there is a huge community for witches on there.
So if you’re on TikTok and want to see some cottagecore aesthetic and learn more about witchcraft and see what kind of magic I’m up to these days go ahead and find me there

Besoms: How to Make Your Own
Buying a besom can not only be expensive, but also quite difficult to find one that you like. Making your own provides you with artistic liberties. It can be as fancy or simple as you want.
Here’s an example of beautiful besoms!
I haven’t had the chance to make a besom yet, but it’s something I’ll definitely be doing in the future! Show me how yours looks! (Whether you make one or already have one!)
Need:
- Wood for the handle. 4-5 feet in length, hefty girth. Can find outside or buy.
- Twigs for the bristles. Can be any length, but ideally 7-13 inches. Can find or buy.
- Sandpaper
- Twine or some strong string
Optional:
- Wood Stain
- Paint (in any color)
- Herbs like Lavender (can be used along with twigs for bristles)
- Decorative items
- Knife
Steps:
1) After you’ve found the wood you want to use as your handle, you have two options. You can either carve the bark off or sand it down. Personally, I’d carve the bark off then sand it. This way you can either use a wood stain or paint the handle. (If you want to carve or burn any sigils or symbols into the handle, do it before you stain or paint. Recarve after if necessary.)
2) While your working on the wood handle, soak the bristles in water overnight. This makes the material pliable so it won’t break whenever you try to manipulate it. Let it dry for a couple hours before using it.
3) Arrange a layer of twigs around the branch and use twine to secure it. Keep adding layers until you’re satisfied with the fullness and length of the besom. Once you get to the outer layers, you can begin to add the herbs if you want. The last layer should cover the broom handle and all other ties.
4) Either fold over the tops of the bristles of the last layer and tie again to secure or clip them to create an even top. This step isn’t necessary, but it makes the besom look more complete.
5) Add any decorative items you want.
Don’t forget to consecrate any witch items before use!
If you don’t want a large besom, you can adjust the size of the handle and bristles to suit your desires. The steps are still the same. :)
.... Just sayin.
Belated Mabon festivities!

So a while back my husband brought me some rocks back that he thought looked cool.
I sort of just thought they were just regular rocks with a little bit of quartz here and there. This morning I was checking them out and I realized that they really looked like they were mostly just covered in dirt and so I decided to wash them and scrub them with a old soft toothbrush and...
They are actually both more quartz than rock. I couldn’t believe was was under all that dirt they are so beautiful!
Went to my local state fair and found some VERY reasonably priced crystals
I got this amethyst cluster, selenite tower, and amethyst point necklace all for $10
Went to the dollar tree today and they are selling the cutest zodiac candles right now!

Good morning friends. I’m starting my day off with some Earl Grey and sunrise yoga.
What’s everyone’s plans for the weekend?
Yes, but what a shame, what a shame the poor groom’s bride is
uh… Thor?
Some people will have no fucking idea how funny this is if they haven’t heard the story.
It is a LITERAL thousand-year-old myth that once, when a giant stole Mjolnir to force Freya to marry him, Thor somewhat successfully impersonated the goddess of love and beauty (with Loki as his lovely handmaiden full of excuses as to why she ate an entire ox at dinner) and participated in a fake wedding to get it back.
Please observe Freya’s chariot cats supervising the whole thing going “Gods are so dumb this will never work.”
Look at Loki helping in this version–he looks so excited!
Hemsworth and Hiddleston would have been so down to portray this
We were robbed of this scene and I feel it in my blood.
Today’s magical DIY: cleansing bath salts!
So I started with my epsom salt base
And I added it to my jar a little at a time and adding my herbs in layers so it shakes up evenly.
Rosemary, sage, and thyme all have purification associations and the mint in the base is for healing.
Once the jar was 3/4ths full I closed it and shook it to mix the salt and herbs together.
After that I created a sigil to modgepodge onto the lid to add some power. I actually had a harder time deciding on my sigil than I usually do.
Then I added some blue and white string around the top for a color magic boost and all done!
White for purification and blue for removing bad vibrations.
Ta da!!
Hope you like these spell DIY posts!
Hey friends what is your favorite part of you altar? Mine is the rope from my handfasting.

Made a self love spell candle yesterday
Got everything at my local craft store other than my herbs.
Using a tiny bit of red wax dye to make pink for love color association
Then added some white soy wax
Had to keep adding soy wax as it melted down. I used a small paper funnel to avoid getting wax in my pot. After it was at the right volume for my wick I turned off the stove and let the wax cool a bit before adding my herbs
Marjoram Basil Sage and Rosemary all have love associations.
As the candle cooled I kept stirring the herbs to keep them as suspend as possible in the wax.
This is what it looked like after it had cooled. I then designed a sigil to modgepodge onto it. The first affirmation left me with too many letters in my opinion so I changed it up
After i designed it I drew it on a blank scrap of paper and I modgepodged it onto the glass and tied three pink strings around the top for more color association.
And this is the final product!
Hope you enjoyed this and can maybe take some ideas away from this!
In 10th grade I was a catholic conservative anti gay anti abortion youth group every week girl.
By senior year I figured I was attracted to woman as well as men and people in between, I had already quit youth group and completely hanged my opinions on abortion.
buy the time I was 21 I had left the church started practicing witchcraft and learned what Pan sexuality is and I’m now I guess what people call left but I just call not being mean and close hearted.
