My guess is either Lindsey, Kara, or just Neath and Monty's wife.

The latter two being more likely since they were closest with Monty and definitely have his notes on hand, so they know damn well Catpiss wasn't fucking planned.

RWBY will no longer have a proper ending now that RT is heading out. Salem is undefeated, Vacuo unexplored, and all remaining plotlines left unresolved. But hey at least the wasps got what they wanted, even though the show had to suffer for it. 10 years of RWBY only to end with a bb kiss.

Monty was never subtle with relationships and we saw it most clearly with the dance. Jaune with Pyrrha (canon), Ren with Nora (canon), and Blake with Sun (not canon for some reason). Even Blake dancing with Yang first was only for a second and out of focus. Blacksun was done dirty and that's it

I have seen many posts comparing jaune to cloud ( and pyrrhas death to aerith) jaune and cloud both wore something that respresented that girl ( pyrrhas sash and aeriths ribbon) both had a scene where they got motion sickness and they both wanted to be heroes which is why they joined an organization but were dissappointed and ashamed of their failure ( cloud wasnt a soldier he was a grunt but got exposed to mako giving him those modifications and mind ended up being effected )

haha i didn't even *think* about that one. but it would make a lot of sense, since pyrrha dying was one of monty's original plans and he was big on FF. FF7 is one of the most if not the most well known game in the franchise, so yeah that does kinda line up with that theory.

Huh apparently Sun had multiple concept art designs for him and yet none of them were used as new outfits. I think CRWBY didn't want Sun around at all and only stuck with him cause Blake needed support when everyone was split up. Which would explain why his crush on Blake withered away and they so quickly forgot about him after RWBY reunited. Poor boy deserved better :(

One of the most irritating things when it comes to bb and korrasami is people who try to make the argument that they were built up from the start / well written because of their popularity ( when I see some of them ship. Kataang over zutara or bad mouth zutara when by their logic zutara should have happened due to its popularity ( appeal to popularity is a logical fallacy for a reason

(note: this is from sep 2023 but idk why i saved this and then didn't post it)

korrasami came out of literal thin air, fam. it was never intended to be anything. bryke only came up with their bullshit "heteronormative lense" excuse once the backlash started coming out. Nick didn't even know they were going to do it, and they kept it hush hush because they knew it would've been denied.

they admitted Makorra was the only actual plan they had for anything regarding shipping in the show.

Bumbleby is basically the same. because it came out of nowhere at the last minute. yes, they had some friendly/close interactions but nothing that was even remotely interpreted as romantic until vol 9.

Kataang is a mixed bag because Aang was simultaneously too young and too old for Katara and acted like a child, getting jealous about other people being interested in Katara, was forceful with his affection and expected Katara to just reciprocate his feelings and got upset when she didn't do it automatically.

Zutara had a more developed bond, and honestly deserved to be canon, and would have had a more significant impact on the story if it had become canon, showing that two warring factions can come together in love, after the damage that the fire nation caused to the water tribes, especially with the fact that Katara's own mother was killed by fire nation troops, and Zuko being the crown prince.

I don't mind that sun didn't go to atlas ( you know the scene with mercury saying goodbye to emerald as he left for vacuo paralleled that scene its why if there was a remake I wouldn't mind that sun still left and it would open up space for Blake to repair her relationship with yang while separated from suns support and for other characters to get focus ( sun leaving leaves space for team RWBY and jnpr) and they would be too helpful.

except with the writing, they did nothing to even remotely interact with each other.

even if sun wasn't there for vol 6-9 he should've gotten blake back in vacuo. period. they were going to the same place, there was no reason to end blacksun and make bees a thing. none whatsoever. it was bad, forced writing on the writers part to try to get money that never came in.

I don't have a issue with sun leaving for vacuo ( as long as he was told about Salem) for it would give space for team RWBY and jnpr to be focused on specifically yang and Blake's friendship ( and I feel sun would distract her/bother yang due to abandonment /trust issues where she wonders if Blake would rather be spending time with her boyfriend then her family. I could imagine a scenario where after the healing doesn't happen till v9 ( and yang making couple comments regarding blacksun like say implying in v8 that Blake cant wait to be with sun or yang having moments where she thinks that Blake would rather sun be their.

like i said, that's yang's problem to deal with. she wasn't the one meant for blake, he was. arryn's own word confirmed that. if she gets jealous that her partner has a boyfriend, she would need to cope with it and get over it on her own time. her not wanting blake to be happy makes her a worse person for it.

even if you remove bb and just make them sisterly I feel yang would be bothered by the fact it seemed like sun and Blake ran off with each other that sun was there for Blake when she needed him given her own abandonment issues with her mom who she would project onto Blake ( I could easily imagine say a scenario where sun and yang were close friends and seeing sun and Blake leave would make her imagine what if tai and raven abandoned her.

that'd be yang's problem tbh. because she refused to actually work on her abandonment issues and instead projected that onto blake and glued her to her hip because she couldn't cope.

Sun was better for Blake overall. he brought out her positive qualities, helped her work past her issues and overcome obstacles and basically saved her from herself by pulling her out of cycles of self loathing. he didn't trauma dump on her like Yang did, he didn't tether her to a leash, like Yang did. he didn't guilt trip her, like yang did.

Not writing Yang to get past her abandonment issues is just a huge fucking disservice to Yang's character as a whole, like what RT did.

So yes, make them fucking sisterly like a goddamn smart person.
