Safety
I’ve been thinking a bit about safety lately. Safety as in emotional, personal and psychological. A good... friend, yeh I’ll call him that. I’d like to think he’d call me that but in all likeliness ill be forgotten by him in 6 months. But he’s a character in another story for another time.
Back to safety. This friend of mine got me thinking about what people meant when they wanted to feel safe, and when to recognise when you truly do feel it. Well i can now honestly say i felt it. And it was as simply as falling asleep. Falling asleep and being at piece. I often don’t think about my own safety, but more of others. I guess i now know what its like to drift off peacefully without a fear in the world. Interesting enough i noticed that some people don’t often ask for safety, but are more than willing to accept it when offered.
That reminds me of another person i’d like to think is my friend. She has never asked to be looked after, and truth be told shes more than capable of getting on her solitary way. But a simply act of waiting, offerig 5 minutes of her time meant that she felt safe. And i think i now understand how she felt. She’s much like me. Large personality on the outside, but always looking for a friend on the inside.
I must admit im often one of those to not ask for safety, but a close friend of mine is very protective of his friends just like me, and i think i like that a lot about him and how he’ll stay up late to make sure you’re home safe.
Yeh, i got lucky with my friends. The true ones anyway. My only final thought is that i wished i had been able to make a true friend out of the first person mentioned. I guess i never had the courage. But then again, we live and we learn. Perhaps me running into him was meant to teach me a lesson.
Understand who a good friend is, keep them close, and make sure they feel safe around you

Actually blogging...
Perhaps no one will ever read this, but I guess it doesn't really matter, however I have decided to document my mind, perhaps to one day divulge into the complexities of it and how it constantly evolves through experience and life in general. I'm promising myself that I'll be truthful in it all, and hopefully I can stand by that, but then again, I'm not Eve sure I can stand by my decision to document my life, as dismally dull as it may be. But for now, it's time to stew in thought as I often do late at night. So let this blog be hopefully (or maybe not) the first of many to transcend my inner consciousness. Chaos out...
