Okay, I should probably just say this officially

I can’t imagine I’ll be continuing to work on this comic for the foreseeable future. As much as I love this series I have no money and too much school. Plus just thinking about how I’m not working on this whenever I’m watching TV, doing homework, housework or even other comic projects is just becoming too much

It doesn’t mean I’ll never do a chaotic comic but chances are when I do I’ll have much more experience under my belt and I’ll start both from scratch and with actually finished character sheets and concept art

I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you but I just don’t want to keep you in the dark and I hope future projects turn out far better than this and I hope when I do return I’ll return with more professional experience

Made a lot of changes to try and make the comic easier to make and read. Like I’m no longer doing three plus layers of shading. I also changed the page sizing making it longer. I’ll also try my best to use fewer panels.

Also sorry that it’s blurry. It’s Tumblrs format ^^’

Panel 1:

Aridel- Erissna, Inganam, What do you propose we do now?

Erissna- They need our peoples' food to survive, and thus won't have any reason to hold back. It's either die in battle or let their children starve. Perhaps though, we could just feed them and they'll leave.

Panel 2:

Inganam- Don't you and Mauve also have a history together?

Aridel- If by history you mean we've tried to kill each other a bunch of times, then yes.

Inganam- Ah, Okay. So even if you feed her warband there would be nothing stopping them from attacking the town but now with full bellies.

Panel 3:

Aridel- Hmmm...

Panel 4:

Erissna- Aridel, I think now is a good time to reconsider having your son fight in our war.

Aridel- No. I can't afford to let Maxxor grow up weak, this is just as much his war as it is ours. If it isn't the Underworlders, it'll be someone or something else.

Been kind of thinking about this since I started the comic but I wanted to throw this idea out there so I could get all of your input on it.

Would anyone be interested in me starting a Patreon?

I was thinking it would be better and more fair to you guys if I made it per page rather then monthly since I shouldn’t get paid unless I produce content. 

Rewards would probably just be basic stuff like early access to content, exclusive weekly streams of me working on pages or character sheets. Early looks at scrips, thumbnails and even rejected material along with discounts on commissions.

Probably won’t start it until this blog has 100 followers but I wanna hear your input on this.

Question, when you get around representing attacks, will you be having the creatures declare the move's name? If so, I recomend only having them do it once each fight scene, so as not to make them too dialog heavy. I'm loving the work so far, it's showing some promise.

That’s actually a really good question. I was thinking of going with Chaos’ theory where younger creatures and new players call out attacks. while Creatures/players with more experience don’t need to call out attacks. (At least I think this was from Chaos if it’s from someone else let me know so I can credit them.)

Also, thank you so much for the reblog/recommendation. I’m positive that the comic is going to go through a lot of changes by the time I get to page 30 lol

Inganam- Queen Aridel, Dutchess Erissna, I just got word that none of the Scouts sent to recon the area returned to the village or Castle Bodhran. It seems like your hunch was right my queen, the local's concerns were not baseless.

Aridel- Of course, you've been spending too much time around the council. Every year we get Underworld raiders and somehow we're all able to convince ourselves that suddenly this time it's shocking and had gone too far. As if all the previous years never happened. And it always, always, is at its worse during the winter.

Panel 2:

Inganam- Even so that still doesn't explain where all our scouts went. It was a recon mission. They were specifically told not to engage. They couldn't all have-

Erissna- Wait!

Panel 3:

Erissna- Something's wrong...

WOOOSSHH

Sorry for the long hiatus, turns out working on comics while in classes is near impossible, ((especially since I’m not getting paid for this)) However page 5 is now in the editing stage and I’m working on page 6. I plan to get back to posting in late April at the latest. Maybe earlier depending on final exams.

I’ll let you all know as soon as I have an actual date of when I’m gonna start posting again.

However, the following week November 27th - December 1st is my last week of classes and when most of my final projects/essays are due so you may have to wait until December for page 5.

I really don’t want it to come to that point since I want to have a December long hiatus to work ahead on pages, do/update turn around sheets and other references.

Oh man, this was an optimistic post. I haven’t been able to touch the comic  since I made this post. Now I’m not sure if I should just wait until december to post or just go on hyatus early and start up again refreshed in the new year.

I hope next term will be better since I’m taking less classes and I’m eager to do more work over the summer again, (though this time y’all will be able to actually see it since it won’t just be dull ass turn around sheets.)

Speaking of turn arround sheets do you guys want me to post the turn around sheets I’ve made thus far? I just feel bad for the lack of content while I’m in school.

Intress- I can take a look outside, but last I checked it was pretty foggy out there. Intress (whispering)- and I don't know the area well.

Intress- What can I say, I like being on the winning side.

Ixis- Yep, That's why I'm always on your guy's team.

Intress- Trust me, real combat isn't nearly as scary as you're building it up to be. When you get into the flow of it all it's more like a dance than anything else.

Maxxor- I know, I know. It's just... Ugh. 

Intress (whispering)- Maxxor, please.

Ixis (whispering)- Hold on, I've got this.

Panel 6:

Ixis- Maxxor, just take your baby cousin Accato. He's small and soft and won't fight you. I promise.

Hello. I was just curious. (and this prolly got answered already a bunch of times) But why make Peton have vitiligo?

lol you are right I get this ask surprisingly regularly. (or at least I find it surprising compared to other things I thought people would ask about). Though I’m happy you actually recognized it as vitiligo me? good at art?I’ve kind of gone into this a bit on Discord though the main points are

1) It’s based on @kaiartz and her interpretation/choice of making Peyton Black in some of her chaotic art

2) I couldn’t decide on whether to keep to the canon and keep him White or have some fun and make him Black so I took the third option

3) I thought it could lead to some fun character interactions, also he’s in the desert all the time and stuff like that. Sunshine child should also probably have some natural UV ray protection (though he should still wear sunscreen)

4) I legit love vitiligo it’s so pretty, but like no one ever draws it so I’m trying to ‘get gud’ and draw it myselfSo yeah, in short, it’s partly because I think I can do cool things with his character and partly me indulging myself.

Maxxor- Not a word. The Skeletal Steeds are too loud and our mums are too far away.

Ixis- Really, your mum being too quiet?

Maxxor- Don’t

Intress- My Dad thinks we'll be dealing with some sort of Underworld raid. Probably a basic food run or something.

Panel 5+6:

Maxxor- Oh, Cothica I hope not.

Ixis- Daww, are you scared already?

Maxxor- Why are you being so mean to me Ixis? Is it really that unreasonable to not want to have to have our people and soldiers butchered?

Panel 7:

Intress- Don't worry about it. It could be a false report, or maybe the locals freaking out over some kind of large wild beast. You don't need to panic Maxxor.

Maxxor- Intress, Not you too.
