so whazzup bitches? Guess who’s back on their fandom shit? This person! I’ve finally accepted I’m nerdy trash and Loki and watching the MCU has gotten me on a tangent again. Damnit, I thought I’d watch the entirety of the Universe, feel less like Steve after his winter nap (hah! I understood that reference…) I never thought I’d be a fan of it.

kinda stuck on Dr. Strange RN in my watchthroughs, the hardest ones to sit through are the ones I’ve already seen. Like, I’ve watched Guardians a bajillion times it’s just that good of a standalone movie especially when the tie-ins are side mentions.

I wanna write about how I get it now, but that’s for another post.

It’s a beautiful evening in February. My wife and I are sitting at the fireplace, when suddenly a terrible image appears on the screen of my computer.

My wife looks at me. As I look in her terrified, cardboard eyes, filled with tears, she takes a deep breath, before saying with her shivering voice “It’s what you’ve always wanted, dear. Do it.” My hands start shaking and a lone tear rolls down my cheek. “I can’t, honey. I’m not like that anymore.” “I will do it.” a small voice behind us says. As I turn around, my eyes cross with my son; our son. “You don’t have to do this, Benedict.” I say, as I hold his hands.

Ignoring what I told him, young Benedict Popper-Are Optional holds my wife’s cardboard body in one hand, and her long, beautiful string in the other. With tears in my eyes, I turn my head away. A loud pop sounds behind me and I watch in terror as I see my wife’s confetti spread across the room.

"It’s what you’ve always wanted, dad…" my son says, putting his small, cardboard hand on my shoulder. "Yes," I say, "but not like this… Never like this…"

This is a photo of the best and worst purchase I have ever made in my life. It is a kotatsu. For those of you unfamiliar, a kotatsu is a Japanese heated table. The top of the table comes off, you put a blanket on in the cold seasons, and then put the table top back on. There are small space heaters underneath the whole table and when you stick your feet under there, it’s a toasty oven of pure bliss. It’s great on heating bills because I don’t turn on my heat, just my kotatsu. It’s the best and the worst purchase because it’s fucking awesome yet it’s so awesome I never want to leave the thing and end up missing school because who the fuck wants to get out from under a toasty oven of pure bliss? Not this bitch. My advice to you, is that you should totally get a kotatsu but only if you have the will power and self control to not get trapped under there. It’s so addicting, I even sleep under it sometimes…
