Camera still, recording alone.The world can see while no one knows. Shameful only to the ones I love, but here there's freedom like a falling dove. Bare a breast, reveal something private, they will never see. You can watch because I am free. Turn my eyes to hide my truth, smother my heart in guilt. I know it to be wrong while it feels so right. In darkness I dwell, ashamed in the light. Freedom costs only my dignity and that seems cheap. Then I realize there is Heaven and I am no longer a sheep. I dance with the goats and roam further from the flock. My shepherds voice is too faint to hear and I no longer look back. Grass looks green along the horizon, sky looks glorious beyond the distance. Always chasing that feeling of when I took my first breath. Now its my last and there's no time left.

Christmas is our time to reflect on on what to get for your kids, your lover or friend. How often do we think of how this gift can represent Jesus or how it could reinforce His promise to those we love. Remember it is a celebration of the birth of Jesus. Christ. I didn't always feel this way or even consider it. For most of my life I thought it was a time only to share a gift so that person would know you thought about them. But today I have changed my focus and importance to this new way of thinking.

Jesus tells us "[But] take care not to perform righteous deeds in order that people may see them; otherwise, you will have no recompense from your Heavenly Father. When you give alms, do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets to win the praise of others. Amen I say to you, they have received their reward.

Matthew 6:1-2

I often remind myself of this scripture.

So, Merry Christmas to you, may you be blessed forever.
