heliatlus:
Before you pop a blood vessel, you recede back deeper into Atlus’ skull.
“Huh? Oh…”
You blink a few times. What were they talking about? You rub your eyes. “Well, I do like your suit, but if you destroy the earth, we have nothing left. There’s not much to do in life if we have nowhere to do it at all… a world without flowers would be barren and dangerous.” Probably environmental rights. You hate when Flauros locks you out of conversations.
“Everyone should be a champion of the earth, even if it seems hopeless sometimes. I’d be glad to give some tips.”
Nygma could sense something shift in his conversational partner. Nothing physical—except perhaps the brightness of his eyes—but the tone. The subject of the conversation. Not to mention his overall demeanor. Something has definitely changed.
Not for Edward, though.
“Obviously I wouldn’t destroy an entire planet. Not even enough to tip the balance of our fragile ecosystem—not on a large scale, anyway. Hive City sits in a universe separate from the rest of existence. The consequences affecting this place are negligible to the rest of eternity. Riddle me this, though. Why call it the Earth when we are not on the Earth? Isn’t that a bit geocentric of you?”
