Darkness… the sound of the wind outside moans as the trees shake from the breeze, scratching at the side of the house.
“Mudkip…?” A soft voice spoke out, almost in a whisper as owner of said voice shuffled a bit where they lay, the shifting of bedsheets sound out from the bed that sits in the corner of the room.
“Mmhm?” A deeper hum replies to the softer voice, the shifting of bedsheets continuing for a brief moment.
“Do you ever get scared?” The soft voice asks, the leaves that protrude from the Top of their head falling behind.
“Sometimes, not very often though.” The deep voice speaks out once more.
“Oh well,,, I’m just thinking about how scared I probably would be if you weren’t here with me right now haha-“ they almost mumble, their voice Muffled a bit as they lean into some sort of fabric.
“Well Just don’t worry about it, I’m here with you.” The deep voice speaks out again, a small audible peck noise could be heard as the blue deep voiced boy leaned in to place a small kiss onto the soft voiced boy’s forehead To which the boy giggles, his body feeling warmer than before as he nuzzles into the touch of the other.
“I love you… a lot… I’m glad you’re with me. Haha-“
“I love you too, Chespin.”
The electric tension in the air almost crackled The heartbeats of each boy syncing up as they look to each other, their eyes meeting as they cuddled.
“Can… can I?” The soft voice muttered, his gaze shooting downward to the other male’s lips, before looking back to complete the eye contact. “…sure, why not.”
Time slowed down for the two of them, each second that passed felt like agony as they hesitated between glances.
Eventually, the soft spoken boy leaned inward, his nose grazing the other’s mustache, tickling him in the process. After a few more moments of agonizing hesitation, the blue boy leaned further in, their lips connecting as this experience overtook the both of them.
The kiss was brief, a few seconds at most. But the warm sensation of such an act permeated the both of their bodies. That being said, the kiss was anything but perfect, a little sloppy, but that’s what made it unique. The kiss didn’t have to be perfect to feel right.
It just needed them to be happy in that moment. To free themselves of any doubt that what they were doing was wrong. It felt so right.
They tease at each other before pulling deeper into the hold they had on each other.
All that was left in the darkness, was soft and simple breathing, as the two drift off to sleep. Together.
