Nico nodded when Charlie apologized for herself. He actually felt a bit bad, seeing the vulnerability on her face. “It’s alright, I just have a headache,” he sighed. Nico smiled at her next words. “Oh, I don’t think anyone could get used to your loud mouth, not even Theo,” he teased, his tone light.

“I have some aspirin, if you’d like it.” She reached down into her school bag, pulling out the small bottle before offering it to him. She grinned back at him before waggling her eyebrows, “Theo enjoys my loud mouth and you know it. The louder, the better.”

Nico sighed loudly, looking up from his book, where the words were swimming all over the page. “Listen, I’m sorry to be a dick, but could you please lower your voice?” he pleaded, his tone harsh as he pressed his fingertips to his temple.

Charlie’s face contorted to sadness for a moment before she quickly covered it up with a content look, “Oh, gosh, I’m sorry, Nico. I was just practicin’ a little somethin’.” She bit down on her bottom lip, “You’d think you’d get used to my loud mouth since I’ve practically invaded yours and Theo’s room.

“Seriously, if you’ve got such an issue sharing the damn sidewalk, you could just walk in the grass.” Holden rolled his eyes as whoever he’d been arguing with stormed off. He glanced up at someone lingering nearby, giving them a quick grin. “Sorry you had to hear all that. He was an ass.”

Luce stopped at the edge of the quad, looking around with his bag slung up on his shoulder. Riding back on the bus had certainly been interesting, and while everyone was still so excited about the win, he’d had to fake it, pushing a smile on his face before curling up to sleep on the way back. Instead, he’d stared at his phone, where a single text from Rodrigo stared back. Good morning, mi corazon. I hope you slept well last night. I’m sorry that I startled you. I have just missed you so much, I wanted to hear your voice again. Luce sighed, rubbing a hand over the back of his neck. “This place just gets more beautiful every time I see it.” A small smile curled across his lips, and he forced himself to keep it there.

Charlie approached the boy from behind, smiling and almost skipping from excitement. She hadn’t been around for a good while, and hadn’t seen Luce in a longer while. A lot had been happening in her life, to say the least. She was sneaking up on him, ready to envelope him in the biggest hug. Hearing his voice drew a pout from her, “How’d you know I was here?” She laugh before stepping closer to him and hugging him without the choice, “It’s been too long. I ain’t seen you fer years.”

Charlie breathed in slowly as she pressed her body against the boy. She melted against the boy’s roughness. They were like fire and rain. They were two contrasting figures that should oppose one another. They were two forces that should cause the demise of one another, but in their worlds and in this moment, they were two opposing dancing with one another. 

Her tongue trailed against his bottom lip, trying to taunt the boy. There was a part of the girl that wanted Theo to think she was tough. She wanted him to be attracted to her for who she was. The pressure between her hips was almost too distracting from the boy. Charlie wanted more of him. Charlie needed it. Once there was distance between their lips, a smirk spread across Charlotte’s features.

Her hands moved from his chest and slid down to peel his shirt from him, “I ain’t sure. Probably like, a few bottles or somethin’.” A breathy laugh left her lips before she bit down on her bottom lip. She was pressed against the wall and pulled the boy closer, resisting any type of barrier between them. “I need this to be off.” She murmured, tugging on it gently before making an obvious attempt to pull it off over his head. He was beautiful. For a moment, she drank in the sight of his bare chest, and felt her heart rate sputter faster as it tried to manage their situation. Could he feel the pulse thumping through her body at an accelerated tempo? Could he see the nerves written all over her face? 

Her body reacted instantly to the small moan that escaped him. Her face became flushed as the boy spoke her name. She wanted nothing more than to be claimed by him. She needed to feel his dominance as she moved one hand to tangle in his hair. She nearly begged, her breathing heavier than normal, “Please, fuck me, Theo.”

“A lot of people these days are super ambitious, but have no motivation. They want things handed to them on a silver platter. It’s super sad nowadays, people don’t wanna work for nothin’.” Charlie laughed before feigning a serious face, “Okay, but really the business wasn’t good unless you got his number.”
