It’s so sad that students are now relying so heavily on AI for writing essays because they’re missing out on the best part of writing an essay which is when you’re a few paragraphs in and you just reach that flow state where your thought process becomes one with the essay and you’re slamming the keys so hard that you’re on the verge of destroying your laptop. I used to get high off of that shit
Completed my second semester of pre requesites. My GPA is a 3.6. Anatomy 2 was a toughie. One more semester then nursing school begins. I am excited and nervous. Over the summer I will be studying for the TEAS exam. If anyone would like to join a studygroup I have a bunch of resources. My friend and study partner had to take a leave of abscene because she is having a baby. I miss her so much 😭 So study buddies needed! 📖🧫

prepare for spring semester!˚₊‧꒰ა♡໒꒱ ‧₊˚
winter break will be over soon! it's a new year and it's time to get motivated <3
before school starts…
♡ throw away/recycle old papers you don't need
♡ make sure your supplies are restocked and ready (new pens, pencils, paper, etc.)
♡ go through your notes - clean up or rewrite any messy ones, and make sure you remember any important past information/units
♡ set realistic, quantifiable goals that can be measured by a certain date
these should be something to strive for, not something that you are already consistently meeting. focus on the classes you are having trouble with, or a study habit that you wish to create.
♡ get excited and motivated for school! you can do this by…
• decorating your notebooks
• buying new/cute school supplies
• decorating your backpack/bag with fun keychains or ribbons
• picking out outfits in advance
• listen to or create study/motivation playlists! i’ve linked some of mine <3
eat the frog (time management)
"eat the frog" is a popular time management technique that comes from a quote attributed to mark twain: "eat a live frog first thing in the morning, and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day." in the context of productivity, the "frog" represents your most challenging or important task of the day—the one you're most likely to procrastinate on.
how to implement the "eat the frog" technique:
identify your frog: at the start of each day, determine the most crucial task you need to accomplish. this should be something that has a significant impact on your goals but may not be the most enjoyable or easy task.
tackle it first: instead of putting it off, focus on completing this task before anything else. by tackling it first, you can get it out of the way and prevent procrastination.
break it down: if the task seems overwhelming, break it into smaller, manageable steps. this makes it less daunting and allows you to make steady progress.
avoid distractions: minimize distractions while you're working on your "frog." turn off notifications, close unnecessary tabs, and create a focused work environment.
reward yourself: once you've completed the task, reward yourself with a break or something enjoyable. this positive reinforcement can help build a habit of tackling challenging tasks first.
why it's effective:
reduces procrastination: by tackling the hardest task first, you eliminate the temptation to procrastinate and delay important work.
boosts productivity: completing a significant task early in the day can give you a sense of accomplishment and momentum to tackle the rest of your to-do list.
improves focus: knowing that you have to address the most important task first can sharpen your focus and attention.
stress reduction: getting the most daunting task out of the way can reduce stress and mental burden, making the rest of the day feel more manageable.
remember, the key is to prioritize your most important tasks and tackle them head-on. if you have any specific tasks in mind or need help with prioritizing, feel free to share!
i hope this post is helpful! ❤️nene

how to memorize textbooks quickly:
Read the paragraph. Explain it back without looking at the page as if you are teaching someone. Couldn’t do it? Read it again. Pay more attention this time. Explain it to your imaginary student. Oops, you missed a few key parts. That’s okay, read it again, a little slower this time and really pay attention. Now explain it your student. Yay, you got it! Repeat the explanation again for good measure. Cool.
Do that to the next paragraph. And the next.
And then explain the whole page.
You will remember it all 10x better now.

read your syllabus early! get a cheap planner + write out all of your due dates, maybe get a calender to visualize dates for big exams + assignments, write your assignments out as soon as you get them, make to-do lists in order of how pressing each assignment is, get a feel for how long different types of assignments take you and allot yourself enough time to get them done, rewrite your notes it will help you memorize, take frequent breaks to stretch and refuel, do not forget to move your body!!
every minute spent on planning saves you ten minutes spent on execution. short essays probably don't require that much preparation beforehand, but if you're writing something longer you should probably spend some time planning first. this is the process i go through when planning my essays, and i find it works really well!
