I'm in such a foul mood. I just bombed a second test in my math course, I'm barely hanging on to a B, there's absolutely no way to get an A, and there's still another chapter exam and the final to go. The worst part is I know why I scored low on the last exam and it easily could've been prevented. This time I have no clue. I was comfortable with the material, was allowed full open notes, and felt confident with a majority of the questions. I only struggled with 2-3 (out of 20) and even still felt I had worked out the correct answer to one or two. I don't even know if I can pass the class if I fuck up on another exam especially if I don't get a perfect score on the final which I'm totally screwed on anyway because my cat fucking pissed in a box full of my notes which had this courses notes from the first half of the semester.
I think I should just give up on getting into a university program.
She gotta be fine and fashionable
So, I just found out yesterday that I qualified for financial aid at my college. I will be getting a refund check of a pretty good amount. If I have to spend it on books I will, but I'd like to do other things with it. Possibly a new computer. I'll be going as a full time student too. I hope I do well, I'm not so sure what to expect honestly. I never took chemistry before and I made C's in Biology in high school. I am not too worried about math though because I have actually grown to love it and lastly I am not exactly looking forward to English because I've noticed that every teacher doesn't exactly like my writing style even though I have always been a somewhat good writer.
I also just hope I stay focused... I literally never did my homework in high school and failed horribly. Everything distracted me. I really don't want that to happen this time. I just want to go to class, study and make good grades so I can get into a nursing program. I have to make all A's to get in. Hopefully this isn't impossible.
Pre-Med Pre-reqs
Well, hi. I'm Sebastian and I'm looking to be in PC, Would you mind telling me the general pre-requirements for med-school and some other info I may need? - smansion
The bare minimum academic requirements:
Gen Chem 1&2
Intro Physics 1&2 (calc or trig based--requirements vary by school)
General Bio 1&2
Organic Chemistry 1&2
Math: many schools require at least pre-cal to take Chemistry or physics. Some med schools require at least Calc 1, some don't.
Biochemistry: usually Biochem 1 is highly recommended, but not required. Again, varies with school
Psychology and Sociology may be required eventually (to prepare for new MCAT requirements).
So mad at myself right now. I seriously forgot the EASIEST thing that was going to be on my chem test today .. FML I gave up 8 points because I totally blanked out.. OMG im soo mad and disappointed in myself :[ Can this semester end already? gheoagheoaihgfheoa Honestly, if it was a "general ed" class I wouldn't care.. but its a pre req class for nursing.. FUCK FUCK FUCK :[
So tired. I have a chem test today that I'm NOT excited about. I can't wait for this semester to be over with then I'll only have 1 more semester of pre-reqs and can apply for the nursing program ! So excited. Being SO close to the nursing program is the ONLY thing that keeps me going now a days.
my schedule is AWESOME.
