NUA COLLECTIONS WORKSHOP
-display a collection of objects in different ways.
I WISH I HAD BRIEF:
-Set by the uni - reflect on first term and think about what you wished you had done differently.
THE CITY, NEW PERSPECTIVE:
- A brief set by the University, to investigate and document an element of a city so too look at it from a different or unexplored perspective. I chose pattern and focused on London.
ADVERTISING BRIEF -
A brief set by the University ‘ to promote the bigger issue – champion an issue you are passionate about, that has not had the exposure or prominence it deserves.’ So Phoebe and I promoted jobs in science for women as after doing research, it was clear that it was a male dominated industry.
MEDIUM IS THE MESSAGE-
This was a brief set by the University to ‘select a message you wish to communicate and choose a medium that is appropriate to that message’ so my group decided to tackle gender stereotypes in children’s literature.
TYPOGRAPHIC SIGNALS WORKSHOP
- using nine squares, we had to produce a series of typographical compositions that reinforce the meaning if the following music genres.
STUDIO DESIGN CALENDAR:
-Studio Design Calendar, it has a layered fringe effect when physically made so all the pages layer up to make a collage of architectural photography. These are some of the pages.
STUDIO DESIGN -
-For my Final A-Level project, I made a company called Studio Design which is a company that focuses on aesthetic lifestyles. I made a magazine, lamp shades, tote bag, calendar and lightbulb point of sale stand. I created products that could be given away to clients at a convention. Above are some of my magazine pages.
BLUEBELLS
Recently, I took some photos of the Bluebells in the local field. I really like how these turned out as they really focus on the depth of field. I used a Canon 1100d camera.
GEOMETRIC PATTERNS AND STRUCTURES IN LONDON
LONDON BUILDINGS
FUNFAIR
• On the 13/04/17, I went to the funfair and began to experiment with night photography and long exposure. I really enjoyed this as it was very challenging. I used a Canon 1100D and a tripod.
MY BIG GAP YEAR LEAFLET:
• For my A-Level project, I made a leaflet promoting an American Gap Year - all photography, typography and illustration are my own.
CLOSING SUBWAY DOORS.
• I took this set of photographs in Philadelphia and then edited them on AdobePhotoshop. I’m really proud of this layered photography as I like how it captures the motion of the doors closing. It was taken on a Canon 1100D.
STARFISH IN AMSTERDAM
• Over the Christmas break, I went to Amsterdam and Zaandoorf Beach and took photos of the starfish on the beach on a Canon 1100d camera. I really like how these turned out but it was a very dark day so the photos are quite dull.
KEW GARDENS • The brief for the final exam this year is ‘environment’ so I decided to take photographs at The Royal Botanic Gardens, of the flowers and plants. Photographs are my own and taken on a Canon SLR 1100D.
