On Thursday Night, June 17th, I went to Thorpewood with my mother and Ellen and enjoyed a spectacular performance of an analytical disection of the flaws of A Midsummer Night's Dream through Midsummer. It was a long walk but worth the landscape and the performers. I was so absorbed in the play that I swore NSFW words three times.

Watched This Three Years Too Late

I just binged watched "The Good Cop" on Netflix. Loved seeing Tony Danza but I could see it has a similar backstory to Monk which may explain its cancellation after one season. I would suggest Peacock picking up a season with Danza to finish the story.

How I spent my Good Friday

Tonight I finished watching Beastars Season 2 in Japanese Dub. I'm disapointed I didn't see Gosha, but I hope there will be a possible third season in the future because I saw Melon's cameo. I look forward to July in English Dub.

Clean up our water

So I found out PFA chemicals are in sparkling and drinking water whether they are in bottles or tap water. They cannot be filtered by all water filters because they are visible by parts per trillion. I know this because I read an article they connect to skin irritation. I drank a lot of Perrier mineral water and it made the skin on my back red, scaly, and sore. PFA chemicals stay in your body cells like Splenda. If you don't want chemicals from Non-Stick pans in your body, write to the government to but a bill the clean all of our water. Or spend a lot of money on Clearly Filtered filter pitchers. Either way we need a long term plan when another apolypse comes to the world especially if pregnant women can't drink tap water because of PFA chemicals.

So I just found out about Toxic Femininity and I have a little bit of it in my personality and possibly my tweets. I realized I need to acknowledge my reactions when a show I love is cancelled instead of insulting a streaming service. I'm not apologizing for expressing myself but I will own that I insulted the men and women involved in Netflix and HBO Max unintentionally. I'll probably still do it again, but I'll try to not demonize the people behind the streams.

I just finished binge watching B: the Beginning season 1 through season 2 and I'm a little disappointed in the cliffhanger ending. I don't know if there will be a season 3 but I imagine a planet terror vibe to concluded everything.

First GLOW, now Infinity Train. Next thing you know Netflix will wrench out the 7 season contract deal on The Dragon Prince.

Another disappointment from Netflix

I just found out by research that GLOW isn't getting its final season. My sister is disappointed by this. Although getting actors to play their present day selves video chatting during the pandemic may be interesting.

Today my mother saw concrete being poured on a pressurized water table in Othello Park and finally got to talk to an official of the Park about the ground water situation needing to be inspected and she was heard.

Don’t take my Manga!

I just watched an Anime Man video on Australian government officials banning Anime and Manga because they claim it's depicting child pornagraphy. I'll try not to rant about demographics but to have the UN tampering with our freedom of speech through art can lead to losing manga. Now when Anime and Manga are now in the black, twenty years ago everything was technically obscure, if the UN try to prevent the future of sexual abuse of children then future children will never grow up to learn there are teens in Japan who have similar problems as them. Not to mention the export of Anime and Manga is one of the contributions to keeping the economy in the USA afloat in these times of the pandemic. The point I am making is: don't ban something you don't understand until you read or watched it yourself. My parents watch Anime with me and they're late baby boomers. Also, Anime and Manga are for teens and teens at heart who act responsibly because they know right from wrong.

What I found out today

I put up with Netflix cancelling shows like The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell, Tuca and Bertie, One Day at a Time (2017), and Daybreak. The one show I didn’t expect them to cancel was The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance. I don’t know if it was because of the pandemic or budget reasons, but you don’t kill a golden goose like the The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance when it was bringing a new generation to the The World of the Dark Crystal! I read the creators will try to continue the story in the future but they made do it in graphic novel format or novel format like the sequel, Power of the Dark Crystal, which while it was satisfying to read, I really wanted to see the sequel in film because I don’t have a vivid imagination for british accents when I read graphic novels. I want a film series of The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance to continue the journey of how The Dark Crystal Began, including seeing the birth of Jen and Kira and more details of how they meet the Mystiks and Podlings. I know it won’t happen right away but I don’t want to wait 37 years to see The world of The Dark Crystal on screen in my lifetime! I’m expecting time like around 2024 so the settings are still around and not destroyed because of Covid-19 and Netflix respectfully. So I hope other Dark Crystal fans feel the same rage as I do for this great loss. I’m not saying to boycott Netflix because I still watch for the exclusive anime, but I don’t want cult classics to disappear after Netflix cancels a show and still have the streaming rights to show the season the helped produced for their streaming service. I know I want a film series of The Dark Crystal Age of Resistance and The Power of The Dark Crystal in my life time and an arbitration with Netflix before I die. The next time someone pitches a cult classic show to Netflix, please make sure it is a limited series so I don’t expect a second season.

In Honor of Kyoto Animation

After these horrifying news, I’ve decided to do a recap on KyoAni’s main titles from their foundation until now as a homage for its staff, especially the victims and their families. We don’t know where the studio will be going from now, but we do know of its journey until the present moment. There were hits and there were misses, but it overall deserves appreciation now more than ever.
