IT'S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY
#Love_Yourself #LoveYourselfProject @BTS_twt
This is my first personal writing after a long period of time not writing about anything about emotions. The writer’s block has been removed. Thanks a lot to BTS who has been a great help to me through this time.
IT’S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY
The world sets standard How you should stand Through the storms that may pass And difficulties that may last, Must endure all hardships Even if it needs to hide feelings.
Firm and strong, This is how you should be; Must act fine even unbearable pain comes to be.
But is this really how it’s always be? To say, “I’m fine, I’m okay,” Even if it weakens your knee? To act brave even if fear eats your being? To smile even if your heart is breaking?
Or sometimes it’s okay not to be okay? And just admit you’re having a bad day That you also need to take a rest And perhaps lay down and call it a day; Because even the toughest people Have their Achilles’ heels That make them stumble, fail and be weak.
It makes us more human, If we accept at times we’re not fine; That we all need is a tap on a shoulder And an understanding voice that lingers, “Today it’s okay not to be okay For tomorrow is still along the way.”

I have edited this poem for school purposes. We are studying Rizal in college as one of our major units. The requirement is to create a poem. Since I am in a better place, and have a better mindset now, so I am re-editing it today January 21, 2025 (4:42 AM). I hope this poem can also help others just like how it helps me a lot.
IT'S OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY
World sets standard How you should stand Through the storms that may pass, Difficulties that may last, Must endure all hardships Must hide all feelings.
Firm and strong, you should be; Must act fine, happy, jolly Even pain comes to be.
But is this really how it's always be? To say, "I'm fine, I'm okay, don't worry." Even if your knees are shaking? To act brave even if fear eats your being? To smile even if your heart is breaking?
Or sometimes it's okay not to be okay? And just admit you're having a bad day That you also need to take a rest And perhaps lay down and call it a day?
Even the toughest people Have their Achilles' heels That make them stumble, Fail and be weak.
It makes us more humane, more human If we accept at times we're not fine; All we need is to lean on a shoulders And a silent prayer that lingers, "Today it's okay not to be okay For God is with you along the way."
