I tried cooking something from scratch… and ended up summoning a demon.

[1986] Exchange | Tib + Ludo
Tiberius chuckled, “Maybe you can put the list on a board and throw darts at it. It might be effective,” he joked and looked at Ludo, he was a good man, a little egotistical for a Hufflepuff but deep down he was a simple man enjoying life and there was nothing more anyone should want. “Thank you, I really appreciate it. I’m sure Matt would love them.” he said sincerely and nodded once more at the mention of Amelia, “If you can make them together I can help her with the kids. I’m sure Mason and Matt would like to bond over who’ll predict the next move.” he joked and looked at Ludo, “You would do that? I tell him a lot of his family, but sometimes is not the same to hear the same stories from me than from others. I’m sure you have more of Mark than I do.” seeing as the McKinnon spend most of his time in the field when he wasn’t with the family.
“That’s a great idea. I’ll have to remember that one” Ludo chuckled and picked a quill up from the ink pot. “It’s not problem mate. I’ll what I can do” he nodded and began searching his desk for a scrap bit of parchment. He found an old letter from of the other department heads and quickly wrote down a note to remind himself to get some tickets for Tiberius and Matt and to get them the same game as Amelia. It was unlikely that he would forget but he just wanted to make sure. “Of course I would” Ludo smiled as he looked up from the parchment. “I’d love to share some of the stories of Mark that Mason it’s quite old enough to hear yet.” he chuckled “I doubt it, we only played together for England the rest of the time was against. Although we did have a few beers together”
First Date | 1966 | Ludo & Portia
Portia smiled a little at the look on his face. The only time she had ever broken the rules was when she went down to the Forbidden Forest. It was peaceful there and she loved it. It seemed safer than everyone made it out to be. “I am very much serious. Why? Are you scared? If you don’t want to go we don’t have to.”
“No no no no no. I’m not scared” Ludo lied, he had never been into the forest before and was scared by the idea of it but he wasn’t going to let his first date with Portia be ruined by that “I was just checking that you weren’t joking that’s all”

Mark couldn’t help but smile when he saw Ludo. Even if they had been on rival teams just a few matches ago, now they were teammates. He had been a fan of his. He was a great beater and it was going to be amazing playing against him. However, he was a little disappointed he wouldn’t be playing with Garret, instead he would be playing against his mate.
“I’m far from lost, just… taking it all in, I suppose. Who knows if this will ever happen to me again,” he said with a chuckle. He ran his fingers through his hair a little. “I can still remember the first World Cup my father took me to, it feels just like yesterday.” He shook his head. “You excited for the ceremonies.”
Playing against a talented kid like Mark was something Ludo enjoyed. It made him want to work harder to keep up with them. It was no suprise to him when he was named in the team alongside himself
“Yeah, I’m trying to take it in too” Ludo nodded with a smile. He still couldn’t believe he was here. “Me too, I still have forgotten the first game my father took me to and than was twenty odd years ago” ludo chuckled slightly, it didn’t feel that long to him at all. “Absolutely” Ludo grinned “It should be great. What about you mate?”
First Date | 1966 | Ludo & Portia
Portia looked around for a moment, I’m search of somewhere she could keep the flowers until they got back. She decided on hiding them behind the greenhouse behind a stray plant. She straightened up and took his hand, not caring if it was too forward or not before heading down towards the Forbidden Forest. “Have you been into the woods before?”
Ludo blushed slightly when she took his hand. It was going so much better than he had thought it would. “The Forbidden Forest?” He asked “You can’t be serious?”
The Green House; 1967
“Yeah, that must be hard,” he said. “If you didn’t do anything wrong, though, then I’m sure she’ll be really happy with the flowers,” he said. He smiled. “Thanks.”
“For her, yeah” Ludo shrugged, it wasn’t so hard for him. He could tell his parents who he was dating and he could talk about it with Tyler. She didn’t really have anyone. “I hope so mate” he smiled “They look great so I hope that means she’s not going to throw them back at me”
Send me a ship + a word, and I'll tell you the first headcanon that comes to mind!
Who Lives? Who Dies? | 2002 | Ludovic and Portia
When she heard a voice she jumped, dropping the milk on the floor. She didn’t need to turn around to know that it was Ludo. She sighed and immediately bent down to clean it up, going to the drawer where the dish towels were supposed to be kept. “Have you been drinking again, Lu?” She asked, straightening up and leaning against the counter. When she finally looked at Ludo properly she was a little bit surprised. He seemed a little bit older but that couldn’t be the case, she had only just saw him that morning. She didn’t dwell on it thought she just frowned at the fire whiskey in his hand.
“Lu, what’s the matter? I told you alcohol doesn’t do anything but hurt you more,” she rolled her eyes and sat down next to him. “Where’s Lan and Julie?” She asked, picking up an apple from the middle of the table, taking a bite.
Ludo couldn’t believe it. Of all the people to come back it had to be her. He knew he would leave him just like everyone else had. He nodded slightly when she asked about him drinking. He hadn’t really stopped since he finally returned home. It had been another problem of his but it was a lot cheaper then gambling.
“I know” he nodded and moved towards the table. He wasn’t sure what to say to her so he just handed her the morning paper instead “With my mother” he lied, he wasn’t really sure where they were
The Green House; 1967
“What happened, if you don’t mind my asking?” he said. He moved to get the clippers and gently cut a few flowers off. For an accent, he went over to another plant with smaller flowers, and then tied them all together.
“Not really sure mate. I think the whole ‘I can’t tell anyone who I’m actually dating because my parents will hate me’ thing is getting to her” Ludo shrugged. The only person at school who knew he was dating Portia was Tyler. He knew he could be trusted to keep his secret. “You’re a legend mate. They look great”
First Date | 1966 | Ludo & Portia
Portia’s usual calm and collected demeanour seemed to be slipping slightly, succumbing to nerves that seemed to be taking over her entirely. She wasn’t used to this, she was always the one who knew exactly what she was doing. “I can’t say I did know that, no,” she looked down bashfully. Up until recently she had very much held each house up to their stereotypical standards, never truly considering that there was more to people than being courageous, just, wise and cunning. Ludo made her reevaluate her opinions completely. He seemed all of those things and more. She looked up when he spoke again, looking at the roses in his hand, her favourite. She took them without hesitation, “Ludo, these are lovely…” She sniffed them before holding out her hand. “Come on, I know where we can go and we won’t be seen.”
Ludo was relieved when she took the flowers. He had hoped his fathers advice was true. He really wanted to impress her. “Okay let’s go then” Ludo smiled. He hadn’t really planned any further than giving her flowers.
[1986] Exchange | Tib + Ludo
Tiberius chuckled and nodded, “I remember some of them,” he admitted, half of the team was there when Mark had played, it wasn’t so long ago that the McKinnon had invited him and his family to see him in matches, but it felt a lifetime away. “I’m sure you can find the best ones, if not you could always pick some names out of a hat, who would know?” he teased knowing that it was far more complicated than that but the light conversation was good. “He’s the best, I just hope it would be a match against the English team, since maybe I could take Matt to see Mark’s old team mates.” he shrugged, “I don’t mind paying for the tickets, but you know how fast they go, so I was wondering if you could help me secure a couple, just to make sure I at least take him once.”
"I might have to start flipping coins or something" Ludo joked. He knew he would get through it. It was just going to take some time. "I'll get you tickets to an English match I promise" Ludo nodded "Amelia wants to take Mason and Susan to a game too for the same reason. Apparently Mason hasn't shut up about the cup since Amelia mentioned it" He chuckled, he was just like Mark. He was even starting to look like him. "I use to play with Mark in the English side, I knew him quite well. Met his sister once too. I can always have a chat with Matt if you like?" He offered, he got along well with Mark and was honoured to play along side him in the world cup and Mason always asked about his dad when he was having dinner with his wife and her cousin, Amelia. "I can definitely secure them for you"
Who Lives? Who Dies? | 2002 | Ludovic and Portia
@charmingbagman
The last thing that Portia remembered was frantic screams - perhaps even her own - echoing through the street. It was complete and utter hell. Fire, spells and cursing coming from everywhere. Everyone trying so desperately to find a safe spot to apparate away and to grab those too young to do so. Complete and utter, all consuming fear then a mild pain that set off through her body. And then there was nothing but darkness. Now she was lying somewhere that seemed familiar but at the same time completely different. After a moment of getting to know her surroundings and realising that she was indeed lying in a bed in a house that was surely her own she sat up and looked around. It didn’t look the same as she remembered it, the sheets were completely different and the mattress was too. The paintings she had insisted be put on the walls for sake of decoration were gone, one of them she could see was in the corner of the room looking completely out of place.
She stood up and wandered over, picking it up and studying it carefully. It was a flower with paint spatters. She never really liked it but it made the room look a little bit more out together so she pretended that she did. Portia was about to rehang it when she noticed that she didn’t have her wand on her. She went back over to search the nightstand but it wasn’t there. “Damnit,” she mumbled. Maybe she’d have better luck if she went downstairs. She wondered where Ludo was. She knew that Landon would be at school, as would Julie but Lu had had the day off so where was he? Portia shook her head and rubbed her eyes. Even the hallway and the stairs had a few subtle changes which was strange. She always made sure that Ludovic told her before he changed anything about the house - this was her domain. She spent more time there, after all. She wandered to the fridge, taking out the milk without a second thought, barely noticing the fact that someone was sitting at the kitchen table.
After the death of his wife Ludo went down hill. He lost all his money to gambling and was in so much debt to the goblins he had to leave the country and his children. He knew his wife wouldn’t of been happy with him at all, she hated his gambling and he knew she would of hated it even more now. Once his mother had paid of his debts and convinced him to come home he found out that she looked after them while he was gone and that neither wanted anything to do with him. He understood where they were coming from and made no attempt to contact them.
Ludo had returned to the home he brought with his wife in 2000 and lived there as a reminder of how much of a failure he was. He couldn’t keep his wife safe, he couldn’t look after his kids properly and he couldn’t run a damn competition without a kid being killed.
Ludo sat at the kitchen table with a glass of fire whiskey and stared out the window. He removed most of the things that reminded him of Portia and hid them out of view. He got up from the table when an owl brought his newspaper. He nearly choked when he read the title. He thought it was some kind of joke. There was no way people were coming back to life, it just didn’t happen. As if right on cue Portia walked into the kitchen and straight passed him. “P.....Portia? Love?” He choked out. It had to be some lame joke surely? “My love is that you?”

Dreams Do Come True || 1978 [Open]
Since he was a little boy, Mark had dreamed of going to the Quidditch World Cup. He had worked his ass off his entire life, training almost every day, even on his days off. He loved Quidditch and when it was announced a few weeks ago that he was apart of the English team, he had felt like he was soaring. Maybe all of this was going to his head a little, but his siblings had kept him grounded somewhat.
Tomorrow was the first game, England against Transylvania. However, the team had a few hours to kill before then needed to be suited up and ready for the opening ceremonies. Everyone in the crowds would know his name and he was maybe just a little nervous. He was taking this chance to take a walk around the grounds. Everyone was setting up their tents and showing off their pride for their favorite teams. A few people who were English fans had recognized him and he gladly took pictures with them and signed things. He felt like a real celebrity.
He had found a spot near the stadium and for a moment he just stared at it all. He got lost in his thoughts, mentally preparing for what could be the most important month of his life. As he was thinking, he hadn’t realized as some approached him, tapping on his shoulder. He turned to look at them. Smiling, he ran his fingers through his hair. “I apologize, I guess I got a little lost in my thoughts. How are you doing?” he asked.
Ludo excited to finally be in a world cup team. He had only just missed out last time and was relieved to make it this time. He had been working toward this moment everyday since he was five years old and he could hardly wait for the first match.
The opening ceremony was in a few hours and he was buzzing with excitement. He wondered if playing in the world cup would be as amazing as he imagined it would be be. Ludo had taken a walk to try to settle down some of the excitement he was feeling, he walked around the huge stadium and tried to take in as much of the atmosphere as he could. He made it about half way around when he noticed a familiar face sitting by himself. Ludo decided that there was no better way to settle some of his excitement by sharing it with someone else.
He jogged over to Mark who looked like he was deep in his thoughts. Ludo gently tapped him on the shoulder “It’s no problem mate” He smiled and sat down next to him. “I’m doing okay, I’m very excited. What about you? You seem a little lost”
First Date | 1966 | Ludo & Portia
Portia was used to having to have quick comebacks and to act like the pretentious bitch she had been raised to be that sometimes it was difficult to turn that off. She listened attentively to what he said, nodding. “It’s certainly cosy,” she replied with a smile, looking around. Truthfully, the Slytherin had never been on a date with anyone other than a potential future husband before and those could hardly be counted. Both parties were far too busy trying to make themselves an idyllic candidate so they didn’t really pay much attention to each other. “I’m sure the rest of your house are also meeting up for secret dates, right?” She said jokingly, “It totally fits your house traits perfectly.”
"It is" Ludo nodded awkwardly. He wasn't sure if it was a good place or not but it was certainly suclueded. "Absoultley" he chuckled "Didn't you know secret dates was a Hufflepuff thing?" Truthfully it was mainly the pureblood Hufflepuffs who had secret dates. A lot of pureblood families in Slytherin didn't like their kids dating Hufflepuffs and it seemed like Portia's family was one of them. Ludo stood their in silence for a moment, he wasn't really sure what to do next. This was his first proper date. "I... I got these for you" he stuttered and held the roses out for her.
The Green House; 1967
“Well, I might of annoyed my girlfriend some how” Ludo began to explain “I don’t know what I did but she won’t talk to me or even look at me so I was thinking that flowers would help but I wouldn’t know what kind. You’re good at herbology do you have any ideas?”
He chuckled. “Ah, yes, I hear the solution to girl problems is flowers,” he said. He moved over to a table with an assortment of flowers and moved over to his favorite kind. They were a bright purple flower that opened up to be pink when touched. “These ones are usually attention getters.”
"I hope so" Ludo nodded "She's really mad at me." He followed Tyler to a table covered with flowers and touched one of the flowers Tyler was looking at. The purple flower open and turn pink when he touched it "Oh wow" ludo smiled "That's pretty cool. I can see why it would be. I think it would be pretty hard to beat that"
New Broom // 1967 // OPEN
“Hm..” Alice leaned forward on the table, resting her chin in her hand. “Why would you want to hide in the ministry when you can have fun by other means?” She grinned mischievously. She was never one to cause trouble but the idea of it was there. Maybe he would be more partial to it than her.
"It's a good idea but apparently my blonde hair and blue eyes makes it very easy to tell who my parents are" Ludo explained and took a bite of his toast. "Plus my parents show me off to just about anyone they can so everyone would know its me unless I find some way to get into a different department."
