Normalize bare faces in ALL settings. Makeup should not be a requirement for beauty, professionalism or hygiene. Normalize the idea that if applying makeup isn’t enjoyable there’s no reason to be wearing it. Then destroy the elitism within makeup culture and destroy the idea that makeup as a hobby requires spending a lot of money.

HAH! When I was working on character/prop design on Arthur, the script just said that Buster showed up in his pajamas. But since it struck me that Arthur’s pajama design included bunny slippers… and his best friend was a bunny, it seemed fitting to include Aardvark slippers on Buster’s pajama design.

Apparently the storyboard artist was amused and he featured the slippers in a closeup! I was so proud!

My fave book series turns 20! (What is that in Artemis years?) I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this series is a constant source of happiness and inspiration. I love the books, and even more the community which has grown around it, which has really informed the books for me. There’s a lot of canon I’m not even sure is really canon, and I love it.

So here’s to 20 more years of fanon, art, and crazy memes. To fanfiction and scholarly introspection. To Artemis Fowl, our favorite disaster child.
