Clark, all southern sunshine, just laughs. “Doing what, sugar?”

There’s a pause. Then a whisper, so low only Bat-tech hears it:

Bruce disables the channel and jumps off the rooftop.

Clark catches him mid-fall, grinning.

“You’re the worst.”
