Raspberry lemonade is a refreshing way to enjoy warm summer days! Here’s a quick how-to:
MATERIALS
225 ml (1 cup) cold water
200 g (1 cup) granulated sugar
175 g (6 oz) fresh or thawed frozen raspberries
the juice of 2 large lemons
1000ml (4 cups) cold water
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare sugar syrup by bringing 225ml (1 cup) water and 200g (1 cup) sugar to a boil on medium to high heat. The syrup is done once the sugar has completely dissolved. This process usually takes between 3 to 5 min. Let the syrup cool for at least 1 hr.
2. Puree the berries in a blender and strain through a sieve to remove the seeds.
3. Mix the raspberry puree with the sugar syrup and the lemon juice.
4. Gradually, add the water and stir well to combine. Chill before serving.
Makes ∿ 1.200ml (5 cups)
