Lucy shrugged. “It’s not amazing. It’s just putting up flyers, really,” she said. Growing up surrounded by the children of all the big storybook heroes, Lucy had always been aware that she’d never walk the same path many of her friends did. Sure, she was technically royalty, but they didn’t tell epic tales about her mom and dad like they did about the Florians, or the Charmings, or the Roses. Besides, it was just helping a few people, if any. “I don’t think so,” she said. “I don’t think I really need it. I’m doing as fine as I’ve always been.”
“an effort even if small is a flap to a wave,” elle spoke as she tried to straighten out her bangs a bit. she wasn’t sure if she was trying to make lucy think that just putting up flyers were bigger than it may seem or try to give her more credit even if it was a small portion of helping with the problem. she knew she questioned herself more than anything dealing with her own thoughts and feelings but she did know that lucy did more for everyone than people may have noticed and deserved recognization even if it was just elle trying to be a good friend. “that’s understandable, i think... actually, i’m not quite sure... everything feels too weird,” she sighed as she tapped her foot softly, “everyone been acting a bit weird too... feels like a looming cloud ready to rain at a moment notice. do you feel it too?”
