Chloe's probably (definitely) unethical side project that the shareholders can NOT find out about so she drops him off at the DPD like a baby at a doorstep.

HK (Hank) has been at the DPD for a /while/ and despite being deviant they can't get rid of him cause the red ice task force almost split due to the back and forth (them trying to get rid of him, and the task force trying to keep him).

Now he gets to be assigned to investigate deviants alongside the Sterling brothers (Det. Connor Sterling and [Cyberlife] Investigator Richard Sterling) and one very obviously malfunctioning android.

HK is there to fill in gaps of knowledge and act as general back-up. GV is there cause they hope a rogue android obliterates his ass before the case concludes so they won't have to deal with the headache of his decommissioning.

an easily frightened character so far out of it that they aren’t aware of what’s happening to them, much less afraid

intelligent characters who can’t think straight

protective (self-sacrificial) characters letting someone else take the fall for them because they’re too weak to object

patient characters snapping at whoever comes near

affectionate character who wants to be alone

lone wolf who begs you to stay a minute longer.
