tutorial!!

you will need:

any art software that has the "extract lineart" feature

this website: https://emojicombos.com/dot-art-generator

First make a base color of your choosing.

Prepare your images, removing the background makes the dot generator work much better.

Then, import your images into the generator and choose the one your like best. Take a screenshot of your fav image (make sure the background is WHITE)

Import the image into your art program, and select "extract lineart". This removes the white background and leaves the dots. adjust them as necessary

P.S: if your image is grainy, use sharp mask. It makes the dots black, but turn the opacity down and it makes for a nice gray that blends into your base color

does dove’s (your oc) lore/name have to do something with actual doves?

girl hello I didn’t know anyone actually read that 😭😭

but yes she’s supposed to represent a mourning dove (because they’re my fav) her last name is just the Latin name for mourning doves. I didn’t know this, but turtle doves and mourning doves are the same thing.

I live the sad coo of the mourning dove, and they only sing in the morning. Because of this, I always thought that they were called MORNING doves. Also they mate for life, which fits into the plot.

So yeah, mourning doves are my favorite bird ever and I had to shoehorn that into my OCs 😛😛
