juhoon and reader were in a relationship way before debuting, but they slowly faded away from eachother thinking the other fell out of love when in reality they were both busy preparing their debuts. unexpectedly, they meet again at a concert of both their favourite singer.

the lights dimmed as the one and only daniel caesar walked onto the stage. screams erupted across the hall, welcoming the singer's presence.

you were in complete awe throughout the whole show. for you, it was hard to believe that you were finally seeing your favourite singer of all time right then and there. everything was going perfectly. it was definitely something you needed after a string of busy days.

when a very familiar intro came on, you felt a wave of excitement wash over you. superpowers. one of your favourite songs from him. you instinctively opened your phone and pressed record.

though, while recording, your mind slowly drifted somewhere else. this was the same exact song you used to sing with juhoon almost every night, you thought. without much thinking, you quietly mouthed the lyrics.

But not like you, no, not like you"

somehow, juhoon never really left your mind. what happened to the both of you was unclear, to say for the least. you simply thought he fell out of love, when in reality, he never claimed anything. you never explained anything either. it's not like you didn't care. it's more like you didn't know if he cared at that moment. you both just felt like it was right to end things off when things got too complicated, for the better.

your feelings were jumbled. the thrill still lingered, now tangled with an ache that you couldn't shake. before your mind went too far on doing a flashback, you brushed it off and focused on what was currently going on.

a notification popped up on the top of your phone. it was a message from moka. you shot her a confused look, while only she gestured to your phone, urging you to read it. you stopped recording and opened her message.

you ignored moka's warning and looked behind you anyway. how bad could it be to ruin this already perfect night?

behind you sat cortis. all of their eyes immediately looked at you, almost like they'd been waiting for you to turn around.

things got worse when your gaze found the one right behind you, kim juhoon. your heart dropped the second both of you locked eyes. his eyes were already on you, as if he'd been focusing on you instead of the singer he admired on stage when this song came on.

he looked different. still the same juhoon, but safe to say he looked more mature. your brain short-circuited. for a moment, the crowd and noise around you seemed to fade away. it had been too long since you'd interacted with him at all. both of you were in the same company, but you've kept avoiding him at all costs in attempt to let him go. instantly, it felt like all your efforts were flushed down the drain.

your chest tightened. there were senses of surprise, longing, confusion, all at once. pathetically, your vision was becoming blurry. realizing you were staring, you quickly looked back to the front towards the stage.
