So that’s basically how it went down
I resent just how fucking accurate this shitpost is, congratulations OP, you effectively illustrated how Darwin’s Theory of Natural Selection became accepted by the wider public using a FUCKING MUPPETS MEME, here is your A+, get the hell out of my office
Silly salmonids 🌈🐟
why he standing like this...
S. snuffleupagus, a newly described species of fish, is named after the beloved Sesame Street character, Mr. Snuffleupagus, to which it bear
SNUFFLEUPAGUS REAL
Fantastic article!! The guys looking for it were fish researchers who saw it one time, knew instantly it was an undescribed species, and then tried for nearly 20 years to find and document it!
It's a type of ghost pipefish, related to seahorses, and it floats around coral reefs looking like a piece of algae and hunting unsuspecting prey
They are, of course, named after Snuffleupagus from Sesame Street!
Later on it the project, they got citizen science involved, and people across the Pacific started reporting sightings of snuffy fish from all over!
Hooray for science and hooray for S. snuffleupagus !
Flatworms pt.1!
what the fuck
been in my head for days
Here it is, the poster for World Eel Day 2026! It's time again to celebrate eels of all sorts in any way you can!
Oh? "How do I part-eel-cipate?" you ask? Well, from the eel man himself:
"There are lots of ways to get involved with World Eel Day. Your eel inspired activities, photos, resources, art, outcomes, thoughts or messages can be shared online on all social media platforms with the hashtags #WorldEelDay2026 #WorldEelDay
For example, you could organise an eel event , draw or make an eel or write a story or a poem. Remember to tag or collaborate with @eelsuitcase on instagram"
Basically, get cr-eel-ative! (these are not my best work)
captive audience
look at her go
this is my leopard gecko wheel propaganda post now
promote physical health (walky!)
promote mental health (fun!)
extremely cute to watch them toddle about in there
they love to sleep squished under them
apparently promotes healthy bowel movement (prepare for poopy wheel)
genuinely i know it looks silly and weird but it changed my leos life they use 2-4h a day just calmly walking
it reduced them scrabbling at the glass doors
my friend who has a disabled leo got him one and he is now moving so much more, which is good for his legs (muscles being built)
it's really cute
wheels should be at least 20cm diameter and solid, the wooden ones are great for grip and safety
leos don't go faster than this. successful wheel usage looks like Popcorn is demonstrating
✦ The Last Unicorn ? ? ?
✦ I forgot about this drawing cause it didn't turn out how I wanted. But here it is anyway :b The whole thing about people comparing Spinosaurus mirabilis to a unicorn inspired this piece.
✦ Here's a close up (the unicorn is an OC of mine).
I have a cold so bad I just threw up my entire dinner because of mucous irritation and I can barely stand up because all my muscles hurt. And I live alone right now so I had to clean it all up myself while trying not to throw up even more, or collapsing on the floor due to back pain. So I'm not feeling good right now.
Could y'all reblog this post with a photo of your favorite animal figure? It doesn't have to be a horse. Or regular pet photos, especially if your pet is something other than a cat or dog. It would cheer me up to look at some little guys T.T
Terribly sorry to hear this! I live alone as well so I know how THAT feels. (In case you didnt hear it yet: prepare a bucket with warm water and soap! Put it next to you/your bed! This way you are prepared in case the puke happens again! Into the bucket! The soap dissolves the smell, and you dont have to care about it instantly.) So! Now I give you my favorite Frog "figure"? Its a candleholder, tho i could never use HIM for that! THE LAD!
And for the fish side ( since, who would I be if I didnt supply there? ) These soviet decanter fish with their choir of thirsty children
I have three of those and idk its hard for me not to buy any I see at the fleamarket.
I can offer a rooster lamp I love.

[taps mic] i like when fish have a big eyeball
this is the most beautiful shape for an animal to be
We got new rays!
We'd rather be floating 〰️
This bobtail snipe eel (Cyema atrum) was spotted at 1,941 meters (6,369 feet) in the Monterey Bay. Snipe eels in the family Nemichthyidae have thin, tweezer-like jaws that bend outwards. It was long debated how these fish actually eat, but we now know that they have tiny, backward-facing teeth that work almost like Velcro. They use them to capture small crustaceans and bring prey into their mouths with a series of rapid chomps
every time I see some bigshot scientist revealed as a fraud my knee-jerk reaction is "hell yeah elisabeth bik got 'em good" AND IM RIGHT
