This is all there is. There's nothing fancy, nothing pretty or extraordinary about all of this. What you see, is what you get, as some may say, and that actually is true, however, you also get what you can't always see.
Don't feel like you're missing out on something, don't ever wonder how things would've been if things went different, if you didn't meet people in this exact order or if you tried harder or whatever you may add to that. You can't always look back and list the what if scenario's. You will always be missing out on something, no matter what path you choose. Sometimes you'll miss out on travelling, sometimes you'll miss out on knowledge, sometimes you'll miss out on adventures.
But keep in mind, with every choice you made so far, you never missed out on happiness, and love.
So, this is not just a note to self but a note to everyone; whenever you think back and start questioning if you missed out on something, simply ask yourself; are you happy? Do you regret starting the day, the way you did? If not; don't look back, don't feel like you're missing out on something. Cause you chose your path with a reason; because you didn't want to miss out on happiness and love anymore.
You can buy tickets, you can buy photo's, books, or even 5 houses if you want to. But happiness isn't for sale, and neither is love. You can't buy nice friends, you don't get anything like that for free, and if you can get it that easily, it'll never stay long, it'll probably spoil in time.
So don't look back and regret all those things you did or didn't do. And if there is something you want to regret; regret you weren't happy or in love way earlier. Regret the fact that you were unhappy for so long.
Don't let anything ruin the fact that you're happy now, and love every day of it. And if something makes you unhappy; simply regret looking at that aspect of the day, give it a big "Fuck you", and continue being happy. Don't let one detail kill your happiness, don't let it kill your home. Cause in the end, it doesn't matter where you live, and with who.
When you're not happy and not in love, you live in a house and you are living with a person.
But when you're happy and in love, you are home and with your love.
And it doesn't matter where your home is, and where your love is; as long as it's right where it needs to be, it's perfectly fine.
If you start doubting about it, you're not home, and you need to find out how to get home.
