I'm still writing chapter 5 of "Hanging by a Thread" but I saw this comment about Jax's and Ragatha's relationship and I wanna write a mini fic sooo badly about it

Snippet of my latest chapter of "Hanging By a Thread" where Kinger has a dad moment with Jax

And Kinger noticed too. “I know it was tough when Ribbit abstracted. Ragatha worried about you the most.”

“I didn’t need her help. All that love and compassion talk is just a nice way of saying toxic positivity or whatever.” Jax scoffed. “I didn’t need that.”

“The way I see it, I think she wanted to help a friend. Maybe then she didn’t know how, but thanks to you, it seems like she’s learning.” Kinger leans down to find more lava bugs. He whispers something faintly that is inaudible to Jax. He turns back up to face him. “Sometimes we get trapped in our thoughts. Like someone locked them away. In that moment it may feel like the safest thing to do.”

Kinger covers one of the bugs. “You’re protected. But what happens when those thoughts want to get out? Where do your emotions go?” The bug crawls freely once Kinger lets them go. He places another one on Jax.

“You and Ragatha are two sides of the same coin. Both holding the key on different ends. It’s a matter of if you two want to use it.”

Random theory for how TADC will end

So remember how, at the end of the pilot, we have a shot of everyone at the table?

It's playing the classic TADC song titled "Your New Home"

And to me, this song is really impactful with how it sounds, and it in some way feels like a final bow before the curtain closes.

This is just a random thought I had - but I have a strong feeling that when the series ends, it might be a parallel to this moment.

Either they will all be at the dinner table, or perhaps just all together in a line or a group. And it will zoom out (or zoom in on someone's face, like in the pilot, but I think it will zoom out) while playing that song

Because I have no doubt that the ending will leave all of us feeling shocked or empty, or however it will leave us, it will definitely feel impactful. And I think that it will end in some way with that song, Your New Home, because in the end, I don't think they will escape, I think the story is just a glimpse into one part of living in the Digital Circus. So after getting to look at these guys and their personal problems, their lives in the circus, the connections they made, in the end of the show, we'll zoom out and part ways from the overall adventure we've watched as the song plays and the curtain closes.

Because that's their new home, and it always will be - and that's all we'll get to see.

No but seriously I miss the bunnydoll community so much. Reading and writing fics was everything but I fell into a super bad depression for the last couple months of college. I've been a slum for far too long and taking medication/improving my mental health has brought back some old feelings I miss. I've started writing again and hopefully I can finally finish this "Hanging by a Thread" and continue writing more because love the people in the community especially @raggity-boo1 🥺❤️ who brought soooo much to the community on discord and tumblr (ofc ao3)

The last chapter of "Hanging by a Thread" is just begging to be edited for upload. I have 90% of the last chapter done and the second I started school all my free time disappeared :(

I refuse to upload without editing it as I want to do my own fic justice. Just a quick update as I've been MIA. Love bunnydoll to the MAX but its hard out here for a college student. I planned this to be out like 2 weeks ago and life just wasn't lifing :/

Anyways!!! In the mean time I might suggest reading "Sew Me Up" if you would like to read my completed work!

Sew Me Up

Summary: Jax sews Ragatha back up and it gets emotional frisky~

(Slightly longer summary I didn't bother to add on ao3 but Ragatha finds comfort in sewing until she's injured in an adventure and has to sew herself back up. Jax ends up taking over that tasl for her and Ragatha feels all the sensual tension of her relationship while navigating her thoughts)
