Let’s talk about misogyny and misandry
Misogyny has existed for as long women went again what they felt was wrong. The need to suppress them when they asked for the right to basics like right to hold bank accounts, to study, to sign papers, to put on LIPSTICK at work places, to vote, to lead and to voice opinions on global platform. It’s present throughout the history, it’s embedded into history. Men wanted to dominate the society and economy did all of this, and it does shapes the power imbalance in current scenario tooo.
However let’s also talk about misandry, yes it does exist…but the word literally exists because they couldn’t bear too see women advocating for themselves???? Misandry started to exist because men wanted to refute feminist arguments…. I mean okay dude.
While people come against me saying what do you mean don’t women stand against men now on the internet. Let me ask you a question does a women saying “ugh men” on the internet equivalent to hundreds and thousands of years of suppression suffered by them.
That being said I don’t deny Misandry should not exist. It’s completely wrong to generalise and hate on an individual just because of gender. Misandry is also required, it helps in creating a balanced society and economy.
Misogyny is deep rooted and institutionalised. It dictates everything, whereas misandry faces very less problem of such. While one has existed for centuries, another is a response to a system
