Just wanna ask what would Darcy's opinions (+ interactions) be like with my original three oc's (Frankie, Charlie and Barbara) if that's okay with you ^_^
I do think these two would be like..,besties. I'd like to imagine that Darcy is a regular at her mother's bakery and stumbled in one day when Frankie herself was helping out, and that's how they met !!! Darcy would find solace in the fact that she is sweet and comforting and would most likely never judge him. Not like he would spew his feelings to her but he is eased by the fact that, despite not knowing who he actually is yet, he somehow feels like he's a little bit closer to being himself around her. It would be easier to just say that he's comfortable enough around her to not feel the need to act out a persona that isn't his. He overthinks when it comes to words way too much though LOL
Darcy is a big dog lover so I imagine he would bring a puppy around Frankie, not knowing she's allergic and would feel god AWFUL after she develops an allergic reaction. He would be attentive of any possible allergies she may have, despite her only having two, and would be considerate of her in general. He started learning sign language to properly order and communicate with her mother:3
I imagine there being a whole system when it comes to test information for tutors, and Darcy would occasionally ask Frankie if she knew the answer to some kind of formula or a tricky math problem. They would both help each other out equally and wouldn't view it as a transactional thing, just a friend favor to help each other out !
Darcy would be really intimidated by Charlie I think. If not intimidated then repelled from her, figuring that she has a bad attitude or is disrespectful, without really knowing the full situation. He takes a lot of what his fellow preps say to heart and would believe Gord whenever he tells him about Charlie flipping him off, even if he was provoking her. Would 100% call her Lottie, unaware that it's Gords thing and pisses her off anyway
I think if they were to ever become friends which I don't think would happen, they would be the "cares too much about what people think x is brutally honest and has no filter" platonic trope. he would be put off by her honesty anyway!!! He's too used to kissing up to people or telling people what they want to hear just so he'll remain liked (which he isn't even by a lot of people), so the thought of some girl telling it like it is is weird to him.
He would constantly bother Gord about WHY he likes Charlie while not even trying to be rude, he just genuinely doesn't get it. He only ever sees her listening to music or skateboarding while in her own little world, and he figures that she would be impossible to speak to because of this. I don't think Charlie would like Darcy either, she would think hes a dorky pushover prep and nothing more LOL
OH THEY WOULD BE BEST FRIENDS I KNOW IT. Darcy loves gift shopping for his friends and surprising them, so he would go out of his way to find a bracelet decorated in pink gems, most commonly pink opal, or some other pink trinket that he can find
Darcy is also somewhat interested in gossip, though he gets a lot of it from the fakest sources. All of his info is passed down between about 30 people and misconstrued so badly that it doesn't even begin to make sense. She's truly given up on trying to tell him that it's all so unbelievable because he refuses to believe that it's probably lies, or at least the product of a botched game of telephone.
Darcy also wishes that the preps would at least lighten up or sweeten their sour attitudes but is far less vocal about it to them directly, compared to Barbara, who at least is vocal about it being ridiculous to her. Darcy doesn't take school or any of the cliques or their drama that seriously, but is somewhat guilty of partaking in their games just because it's amusing him at the moment. He's pretty easy to pull out of it, or maybe Barbara is that good at talking sense into him :p
