I’m terrified of this culture I see on tumblr which dictates that if a person does something wrong, or makes a mistake, or displays a moment of ignorance they are trash and worthless and deserve to be torn to shreds. A human being does not stop being a human being because they said something stupid. The idea that we should all aspire to a very specific sense of social and ideological purity or we deserve to die is dictatorial and frankly frightening.

Educate, don’t berate. This is a phrase to live by, people mess up all the time, but they’ll likely do it again if they don’t know why, so instead of yelling at them for not meeting your expectation, write to them in a calm manner explaining why what they did was wrong. I hate managers

So this lady had ordered a number 4 but she didn’t want the drink. So I ring her up for just the sandwich and fry. She gets to my window and demands I give her a pie in place of the drink. I try to explain that she wasn’t charged for a drink so I can’t give her a pie. She calls me a brat who doesn’t understand money. I again tell her that she will have to buy a pie. She demands to see the manager who gives this lady what she wants and makes me give her two because I caused her issue. They completely missed the point of how we just have her free shit when she didn’t even order the drink to be in place of something. Not only that we get yelled at for giving out free shit and our food cost goes up and they give out free shit all the damn time and then yell at us for doing their shit.

I hate this crap so much. I had someone complain about not getting their two apple pies as I watched them take both out the bag and throw them in the back. They complained until they got two pies and a sandwich. I was like seriously??? No
