Noble Lady Nami - my Original Character

Hey! This is a portrait of my character Sayuri from the fanfic I'm writing (The Pink Chrysanthemum). The fanfic is a reimagining of Sasusaku into the plot of a Chinese Palace Drama. This Character's portrait is inspired by Qing Dynasty portraits of palace women, and more specifically, the portrait of Empress Xiaoyichun!

I have a description of this portrait in my prologue and wanted to draw it, and I really like the result, I'm pretty proud of it!

The Uchiwa fan is a tribute to @cherrynojutsu's Uchiwa Fan from Like Golden. I'm currently rereading her fanfic for the one hundred millionth time and I've always wanted to try and draw the fan. I think Cherry's fan was possibly more intricate, I imagine the branches would go a lot higher and the blossoms within the silk to be more numerous, but I decided to keep it a bit more simple because the Junihitoe is a lot already.
