Hii, so like I was looking at your art a lot recently, which is really good and I really wanted to ask about your color process, like I really love the way you color and the colors you choose and I wanted to know just a bit of the process, especially for the coloring in the slug summoners AU, I like the warm and whimsy feeling it has

Hi!!!! omg ty so much anon!!! I will be making a full tutorial soon but fornow-

I start with base colors (any colors will do! I use a lot of greens and such!)

Then i choose a cool tone blue and erase where the light sources are!

Then i go with a very warm soft yellow and put that to soft light layer and erase where some of the shadows are!

My sketch is also important because i just use sketches and no lineart! I mainly use my base sketch cleaned up slightly and a redish brown set to a multiply layer !

Regarding Inner Sakura and ableism

Im going to start this right off with a preface that I am mentally ill in many serious ways and I do not need to disclose all of them for you to talk about this. This post is about how the fandom treats Sakura, Inner Sakura, and how that intersects with Saneisim- a subset of ableism related to the ‘’’really cr*zy’’’ mental illnesses and Singlet-centricism, which is more complicated and will be addressed under the cut. I have seen many posts regarding Inner Sakura, but all of them revolve around the sexisim and ‘repression’ angle and that she isnt ‘real’. This is mine.

Hey! I got a question about the inner sakura AU. I noticed that inner sakura is slowly becoming very analog horror creaturey (endearing) but I do wonder, is she going to become an actual eldrich horror when in need or is she going to stay shadow person like? I have no clue what she will become!!! I really like leaning more into that creepy side of things, but so far i have no actual solid plans for what Inner would manifest as when sakura is older!

I think I really want her to almost stay a shadow person but perhaps have the abilities to be a physical aspect in particular mind spaces? Like Genjutsu for example, if caught in one she could pull an almost reversal or break with the help of inner or fight back in specific instances! I think this would also tie her character in really well with Sasuke and his Sharingan if anyone wanted to go that route!

sorry wait tangent OKAY BUT ALSO HOWEVER! I really really love the idea that inner could be physical like in the Naruto Games as an ultimate move!! 🥹☺️

I want to say I'm loving all of your Sakura AUs, they are so fun! I do has two questions about the slug summoner AU though: are Sakura's parents just neglectful parents since its apparently okay for your 7 year old to spend a whole night outside and everything is fine or is Tsunade going to adopt Sakura? Are we going to see some adult do something about the bullying Sakura is facing or is Sakura left to her own devices to solve it? Anyways! Keep up the great work! Love you!

In short yes! For what we know about sakuras parents in series is that they wernt…the best? (please note all we know about her parents is from filler so uh) What inspired this AU was the filled ep in Shippuden “Sakura and Sasuke” where we see that sakura has built a home for herself in the woods. Its speficaly stated that she considered this her home/hideout!!

A child doesnt do that if they feel safe at home, so i kinda went that route of her parents dont really care about what she is up too! Also going the headcanon they are civilian merchants/retired genin(?) We also see that even tho her parents do love her, its uh kinda that “im gonna publicly embarrass you because i care about you and we think that doing this will help you fix these habits” type of thing that you see some parents do? I kinda wanted to explore this more in my future series or this one so keep an eye for that!!!🥲

ALSO yes from here i wanted to have Tsunade and Shizune act as her main guardians/ after theykinda essentially adopt here along with Katsuyu and Momiji after they learn more about her and espically her skills!!

For telling a trusted adult,Yes!! I want to have InoshikaCho get involved somehow especially because it was near The Nara Forest, which in canon is sacred/forbidden ground- so if Shikaku finds human blood he is bound to be intrigued and get involved especially once shikamaru gets forced too blab to their parents LOL! But mainly its Sakura leaving it to her own devices as i still want her to have her struggles/fallbacks that she can overcome! Shes so tiny i cant really give her a ton of problems so this was the best i could come up with that wasnt essentially like, child abuse😭

This then leads to her probably getting slightly asked about and then having to emit about Katsuyu and Momiji. I dont wanna spoil too much buttttt lets just say this is when Lady Tsunade will act to protect Sakura :3!! I also MAYBE want Tsunade and shizune to return to Konoha in favor of saying fuck you to any sort of canon plot structure.
